Isaiah 53 verse 5

The Bible

Psalm 119:105

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.”

The Bible is God’s Holy Word and all of Scripture is God breathed.  It was written by human beings under the supernatural guidance of God through the Holy Spirit.  It holds all of the answers to life’s questions, and was written for all people.  It is infallible, it shows The Way to Heaven, it is living and active, and it is the supreme source of truth for salvation, sanctification, and living a righteous life that pleases God.

Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21, John 1:1-18, Psalm 119:160

God

I AM canyon pic

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe.  He exists as three in one: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  These three are equal together as One.  God loves you!

Genesis 1:1, 26-27, Psalm 90:2, John 1:1-3,14, Acts 5:3-4

Jesus

Mark 2 verse 5

Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  He is also God in human form.  Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice by willingly dying on the cross to forgive the sins of all mankind.  He arose from the dead after three days conquering the evil one, sin, and death!  He ascended into Heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father, and one day He will return to this earth to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords forever!

John 1:1-5, Matthew 16:16-17, John 3:16, Acts 1:10-11, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Titus 2:13

The Holy Spirit

33 things the Holy Spirit does

The Holy Spirit is one with Jesus and God.  It is God’s Spirit living and active among us to lead the world to Jesus Christ.  A person receives and is filled with the Holy Spirit immediately upon receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  Through the Holy Spirit, God provides believers with power for living, wisdom to understand the Bible, guidance to live righteously, and special spiritual gifts to use for ministering to a lost and hurting world.  Through the Holy Spirit believers are empowered to preach the Gospel and do amazing things like heal the sick, speak in tongues, prophesy, and cast out evil too!

John 14:26, John 16:7-14, Ephesians 1:13-14, Acts 1:8, Galatians 5:22-25

Humanity

Never forsake verse

God loves people and we are the heart and soul of His creation!  He created all of us in His image, and He created us to be in a loving relationship with Him.  However, we have all been disobedient towards God, rebelled against Him, and have tried to live life without Him.  The Bible calls this sin.  The result of sin is death, which is separation from God.  The Gospel is God’s plan of salvation.  The Gospel is the Biblical message that Jesus came to die for our sins, and that through Him and through Him alone we can be forgiven and reconciled back to God, and made new as we are given the free gift of eternal life through believing in Jesus.

Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, John 3:16

Salvation

Behold the Lamb of GodRomans 6 v 23

The Bible tells us the wages of sin is death.  Death is separation from God.  The price for our sin is too high, and we could never pay it, so God came to earth to pay it for us!  Jesus is God.  His death paid the death penalty we deserved.  We can never pay for our own sin through good works.  Good works does not get you into Heaven.  Salvation is a free gift given to us by the grace of God. We receive this gift of salvation through faith the very moment we receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior accepting His payment for our sins on the cross!  Amen!

Romans 5:8, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10, Titus 3:5-7, Galatians 3:26-27

Romans 10 v 9

Baptism

baptism 3

Baptism is by immersion into Jesus Christ.  It is an act of faith and obedience when we choose to surrender to Jesus.  In the New Testament Church, those who believed were baptized (immersed) into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.  Remember, we are saved by receiving Jesus as our Lord and Savior by faith.  Simply dunking someone in water does not save them.  Putting your faith in Jesus Christ saves you.  You get baptized after you accept Jesus to show the world you believe in Jesus.  There is a powerful blessing of joy in the Holy Spirit for the new believer in baptism, and it is a strong statement of faith to the world!
