Yes, I made it! I am actually sitting down and writing! It has been a crazy couple days. I didn’t write yesterday because we had our maple tree cut down in the morning, then my wife was out picking up a prescription and she ended up with a nail in the left rear tire and a completely flat right rear tire. I don’t know what the chances are of getting two messed up tires on the same day and during a worldwide pandemic, but it happened and we had to deal with it.
Thankfully, my wife was at a Walgreens when the tire went flat, and the owner of the auto shop next door put the spare on for free. I recently sold my truck, so I was stuck at home unable to help her. She was able to make it to Discount Tire, but they didn’t have the tire we needed in stock and they were too full to fix the nail tire. They ordered the new tire for delivery today and they told her they would be able to patch the nail tire, which was comforting. She made it home safely on the spare and nail tire, and I am very thankful the Lord kept her safe. I will be personally thanking the man who helped my wife once the virus madness dies down.
I got the car fixed this afternoon. I had the insurance on the tires, so the brand new $149 tire cost me nothing. They also were able to patch the tire that had the nail in it for free. All I paid for was the $23 insurance on the new tire. I always get that on all the tires. It is worth it!
Praise the Lord that is all over! I did expose myself by going out, but I trust the Lord will protect me. I don’t know why that had to happen during a time like this, but the Lord took care of it. Every evil attack against me and my family will be defeated by Jesus!
Here is the maple tree we had to cut down. It was almost 14 years old. I planted it myself when we first moved in back in 2006. It was a great tree, but too many harsh spring blizzards took its toll and the whole upper half died last year. Cutting it down did open up our view of Pikes Peak from the deck again though, so that is a positive.
I’ve been thinking a lot about Easter and praying about what to write. The Lord is showing me some cool things, as He always does, so I’m excited to start writing about all of that starting on Palm Sunday. We might be quarantined because of the virus, but we can still celebrate and worship Jesus! Praise God we have the internet in our time, so we can stay connected and reach out to each other in love!
This is just a short post today. Please always remember how much God loves you! He does not want anyone to perish. He desires all people to come to repentance and be saved! That is what Easter is all about! Jesus died for us all to take away the sins of the world! He died for me, He died for you, and He died for the whole world to set us free from sin and death and give us eternal life! We all want to be forgiven and we all want to go to Heaven. Jesus is Lord and He alone is our forgiveness and salvation! In these times we are living in, there is no better time than right now to make sure your soul is saved! Please do not hesitate and do not delay! Today is the day of salvation!
“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”
John 1:29
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
Jesus speaking in John 3:16
“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
2 Peter 3:9
Grace and peace to you all!
Having a flat tire is NOT fun! I’ve been through that too many times.

Try having two tyres – including the spare – blow out on a road trip, away from any towns.
That’s what happened to me & my family several years ago.

Yeah. Thankfully we weren’t too far from Cowell, and our friend there was able to pick us up and take us into town, and we eventually got the tires sorted out.
It certainly wasn’t a boring trip!

In a couple years, my earliest memories (of when Mum was pregnant with Racheal) will be exactly 2 decades old. I’ll be able to truly start to say “I remember ____ 20 years ago”.
Now THAT’s scary!

A friend in the town we were heading for – Cowell, not too distant (thankfully!) – came and took us into town, and we got the car & trailer into town a day or two later.

Praise the LORD Ryan. God puts all His children where He wants us to be. I feel sometimes when things happen that we would prefer not happen is so that the LORD can show us He is still in control and taking care of us 🙂 Just as He did with your wife, and the tire, and the cost 🙂 LORD, thank You for continuing to bless Ryan, and his family 🙂
