Stay The Course

The last few days have been very interesting, difficult, and joyful.  If you read my post yesterday, then you know I am experiencing persecution on Twitter for my beliefs.  It doesn’t surprise me and I’ve been through this before in other ways.  Jesus told us we would be hated on account of Him.  Those who believe in Jesus have been taken out of the world, so the world hates us.  They don’t want to hear the truth of God’s Word and they don’t want to hear a believer in Jesus speaking truth to society.  The Lord has given me great encouragement and joy through all of the battles and I want to share the two confirmations I received from the Lord to keep going.

“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.  If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own.  As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world.  That is why the world hates you.”

On Monday night I was feeling irritated and a bit discouraged about the harassment and persecution I was experiencing on Twitter.  I prayed for strength and asked the Lord to protect me and deliver me from evil.  I also asked Him to show me how to proceed on WordPress and Twitter and asked Him what He wanted me to do with it all.

I was taking a shower shortly after and while I was washing my hair, I heard the Lord whisper, “stay the course.”  As is my habit whenever I hear the Lord say something to me, I repeated it out loud, “stay the course.”  I finished up my shower and after getting dressed I grabbed my phone and looked at Twitter.  The very first tweet that popped up was a Christian brother doing a podcast video sermon titled “Stay The Course.”  It was so awesome seeing the title that I just started praising God, then I ran downstairs to tell my wife and kids!  Thank You Jesus!

After that I was fired up and encouraged to write the piece I posted yesterday titled “Communist Style Censorship In America.”  It is so amazing when the Lord speaks to our hearts!  The Holy Spirit inside of us is so beautiful!  I love it when God speaks to us!

This morning, I opened up Twitter and the persecution continues.  They are continuing to limit my follow backs and they continue to take likes away.  I liked several of Trump’s tweets this morning and right after I clicked like, they all disappeared.  I went back and liked them again, because they are not going to stop me!

I must admit, I was irritated to see it continue today and I talked with the Lord about it.  I asked Him to put a hedge of protection around my blog, Twitter, and book and asked Him to protect me and my family.  I asked Him to speak through me and show me what to say, and when I turned to His Word for comfort, this is what I opened my Bible to:

“no weapon forged against you will

prevail,

and you will refute every tongue that

accuses you.

This is the heritage of the servants of

the LORD,

and this is their vindication from

me,”

declares the LORD.

Isaiah 54:17

What a confirmation!!!  I am still sitting here just smiling big filled with joy!  Watch out now Twitter!  Praise God!

The Lord knows exactly what we need when we need it and He is so good to us!  God has called me to this mission to fight evil with His Truth and I will keep moving forward and stay the course!  Jesus is with me and I will refute every tongue that comes against me by the power of the Holy Spirit!

“But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it.  At that time you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.”

God has seen fit to put me in the fray and I am very thankful!  I am His soldier and His weapon and I will follow Him wherever He leads!  My hand is to the plow and there is no looking back!  Jesus is inside me like a lion!  May He speak His Truth through me in power and may His will be done!

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send?  And who will go for us?”

And I said, “Here am I.  Send me!”

Keep fighting the good fight, brothers and sisters!  The world desperately needs Jesus and the Truth of His Word!  Persecution and hatred will come, but no weapon forged against us will prevail!  We stand victorious in the Blood of Jesus and we have overcome the world!  Speak the truth and never give up!

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart!  I have overcome the world.”

    1. Thanks Wendi! I can only do it in the strength that God gives me. It can definitely be exhausting, but I just rest in Him. I don’t let the argumentative hateful ones get to me. I just speak truth and move on. Sometimes I have to block people. It’s not about arguing for me. It’s about taking His light and truth into the darkness. God bless!

  3. How awesome it is, how spectacular it is that you hear God speak to you with your answer, Ryan! ! So amazing, I can see why you would still be smiling about it! You are God’s soldier and I am so proud how you preach the Word with such passion and truth. Jesus is with you, and as you say, “inside you like a lion”. Halleluiah! I pray God continues to give you strength and protects you always, Ryan… And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” With the power of God you will continue to encourage others and bring light to the darkness!   5. Sending prayers to you and your family! 1Peter is a really great book to reference back to during times like this. The more resistance you face from the enemy, the more of a powerful spiritual threat you are, the Lord will not let you be shaken!

  10. I noticed you weren’t writing and thought I’d check your Twitter just to see if you were alright. It’s tough out there on social media, because people can be brutal when they are not face to face. I don’t know how you can stomach it. I pray the Lord gives you His peace to fight the good fight, always putting His love first!

    1. Thank you, I appreciate the encouragement! I can only do it through His strength alone. God has been opening up doors to share the Gospel within the debates & conversations, and it has been really cool. God is so good! God bless!

  11. Wonderful! Keep up the truth speaking ! In Revelation John says we will be persecuted for the testimony of Jesus but will be greatly repaid ! All for God’s glory. Don’t even let them bother you. You know it’s the devil trying to weaken your faith and stop you from spreading the word. Onward Christian!
