The Task of Testifying

Pic quote Acts 20 v 24

The Apostle Paul had it right!  My life is nothing without Jesus and my number one task is to testify to what Jesus did for all of us.  Believers in Christ are living testimonies of the gospel of God’s grace!  I pray the Lord would strengthen all of His people and empower us to finish the race and complete the task that has been given to us, in Jesus’ Name, Amen!

What is the gospel of God’s grace?  It is so simple and beautiful it can be explained in one very famous verse:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Jesus speaking in John 3:16

Think about that today!  “For God so loved the world.”  God loves us!  He gave us His Son Jesus, so that we could be forgiven and have eternal life and by His wounds we are healed!

“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.”

Isaiah 53:5

And how do you receive this forgiveness and have eternal life?  You receive Jesus by faith, as it is written in Romans:

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Romans 10:9

“For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.  As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”  For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile–the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Romans 10:10-13

That is the Gospel of God’s glorious grace in Christ Jesus!  He loves you!  He does not want you to perish!  He wants you to have eternal life!  He wants to save you and richly bless you and never put you to shame!  Rejoice because that is the greatest news of all time!

There is hope in these dark times and His Name is Jesus!  He is the only One to ever die for your sins.  He is the only way to God.  Jesus Christ is our eternal life!

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.”

John 14:6

“I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.”

Jesus speaking in John 5:24

“For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Jesus speaking in John 6:40

Once you believe in Jesus Christ, you are filled with the Holy Spirit, which will empower you to live a righteous life that pleases God.  You are sealed in Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit and nothing can snatch you out of His hand!  Your salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ alone, which is a free gift of God’s grace.  No amount of works or human effort could ever save you.  Your salvation is guaranteed through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation.  Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession–to the praise of his glory.”

Ephesians 1:13-14

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–not by works, so that no one can boast.”

Ephesians 2:8-9

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.  I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.  My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.  I and the Father are one.”

Jesus speaking in John 10:27-30

Why do we need a Savior?  Because we have all sinned and we desperately need to be redeemed!  We need to be made righteous and justified by God because we could never do it on our own!

“But now a righteousness from God, apart from Law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.  This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.  There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”

Romans 3:21-24

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 5:8

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 6:23

When you believe in Jesus you are forgiven, justified, redeemed, and reconciled and you have peace with God!  Jesus Christ is the gift of God’s grace to the world!

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.  And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.”

Romans 5:1-2

“Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!  For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!  Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.”

Romans 5:9-11

“For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”

Colossians 1:13-14

Remember the words of Jesus and take Him at His Word.  He is the only way to eternal life, He loves you, and God does not want you to perish!

“Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”

Jesus praying (before He died for us) in John 17:3

“For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men–the testimony given in its proper time.”

1 Timothy 2:5-6

There is only one God and one Savior above us all and there is no difference between Jew and Gentile.  All of us, no matter what country we are from, have sinned and we all need to be forgiven, redeemed, justified, reconciled, and saved by God through faith in Jesus Christ.  Jesus Christ is eternal life and it is my daily prayer that all of those who don’t know Him yet would come to know Him today!

“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.  For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.  He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.  And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.  For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.”

Colossians 1:15-20

Jesus is God in human flesh!  He is the image of God and all of God’s fullness dwells in Him!  He loves you and He is waiting for you with open arms to shower you with forgiveness, grace, and peace and give you eternal life!

Grace and peace to you all in the powerful redeeming love of Jesus!
