Hello everyone! I wanted to take some time and share some photos I took with my good Canon camera in November. I took the sunset picture above and the pictures that follow on the 10th between 5:07 and 5:09 P.M. Mountain Time. I hope you enjoy the colors as much as I do! When I zoomed in, the shades of purple were amazing! God is amazing! I will also share some pictures of a Rocky Mountain morning and the friendly animals that live around our home. I pray the peace of the Lord enters your heart as you ponder the wonders of God in all He has created. May His creation encourage and inspire you! God bless you all in the Name of Jesus!
Praise the Lord!!! All of that beauty in only two minutes! God never ceases to amaze me! You want to see God? Look at His creation around you and He will show you His glory!
Here is sunrise shining on the Rockies in the West just a few days later. This was just before 7 a.m. It was cold and a bit overcast, but the rays of light still kissed the Rockies.
We have many animal friends that live in our neighborhood and many of them like to chill near our home and in our backyard. The deer like to rest right behind our fence next to the big Austrian Pine trees we have. Our yard offers them protection and warmth. I thank God for that. It’s cool to see them every day. The babies are so cute!
Such a good mama! Look at those big beautiful eyes!
Here are some of the little critter friends that like to visit.
That is a little Colorado woodpecker. There is a different species that is bigger and that one likes to peck our house. This little guy sticks to the trees.
Last, but not least, may I introduce the little squirrel and sparrow that live here. The squirrels came into our area over the last few years as everyone’s trees got bigger. Our neighborhood was a brand new development when we moved in 12 years ago. There are only a few squirrels around, but this little guy loves our trees. The sparrow has a bunch of buddies and they are always singing beautifully for us.
I pray for all of you today that the Lord will lift you up and you will notice His touch in everything He created in your part of the world too!
Grace and peace to you all in the Name of Jesus!
“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature–have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.”
Romans 1:20
We sure do live in a beautiful state. 🙂

That’s cool! I didn’t know you live here! I probably should have known that by now though from reading your blog. 🙂 I grew up in Littleton near Federal. Our neighborhood was at the bottom of the hill and the rich folks in Bow Mar were at the top. I loved growing up there (’81 to ’91).
I would have gone to Littleton High School, but we moved to Illinois before that. I came back after High School to go to UNC in Greeley and have been here ever since. I’ve lived here about 33 of my 40 years, so this has always been home.
My Uncle and Aunt owned a bed and breakfast in Winter Park called “The Bear Paw Inn” for many years. My Uncle passed away a few years back. It was a beautiful place with a view of the Continental Divide. WP is still my favorite place to ride. The Mary Jane side is rad for snowboarders! I’m too beat up at 40 to ride like I used to, but I can still take some good runs.
I would love to see photos of the views you have up there! God bless!

Small world, I moved here from Wheaton Illinois! The main picture on my home page is the view from my kitchen window.

Cool! Almost all of my family is out in Illinois, except for my sister who just moved to Texas. I went to High School in St. Charles, IL. That is where all the scary supernatural stuff happened to our family.
I was raised with die hard Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks fans. Loved going to Wrigley and the old Chicago stadium back in the day. I was raised with The Fridge and the glory of the ’85 Bears, Ryne Sandburg of the Cubbies, and Jeremy Roenick, Chris Chelios, Eddie Belfour, and Tony Amonte of the Blackhawks. Oh yeah, and don’t forget the running of the Bulls in the 90s when Jordan played! I never got to see him at the stadium!
My family was freaking out when the Cubs finally won the World Series! My Dad can die a happy man now and he realizes miracles really do happen! 🙂 I loved taking the Metra train into Chicago in High School. Still to this day I keep my wallet in my right front pocket and never in my back pocket. Streets smarts in Chi-town you know. It was fun playing hockey on the frozen Fox River too.
My Mom is coming out on the train in a couple weeks. Still a great way to travel from Illinois to Denver. So cool you are from the Midwest too! There are lots of Midwestern folks out here! 🙂

Amazing pictures. Loved the ones with the purple sky. Quite captivating. God is amazing. I wrote a ‘Sky and Sea Tales’ post a while ago that showed the changing colours of the sky above the KLCC Twin Towers in Malaysia when I lived there. This reminded me of that experience too. Thanks for sharing, Ryan.

Thank you, God is good! I didn’t know you could set up the blog to comment on individual pictures. Can we do that on WordPress? I don’t think I can do that with my blog set up. God bless!

You are very welcome.
I don’t think you can comment on individual pictures, I think it’s just a FB thing. If I find out otherwise I’ll be sure to let you know!
