Remember Those Who Gave It All

Today is Memorial Day here in America. It is a federal holiday to honor all of our brave soldiers who have died fighting for our freedom. All of our soldiers have my utmost respect for their service, bravery, and sacrifice, and my prayers are with all of you who have lost those you love to the battles of war.

May every American never forget the heavy price that has been paid for our freedom. May we always lift up the families who bear the weight of that burden, and offer them the love, support, and prayer they deserve. As Jesus said in John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” May we always remember those brave souls who laid down their lives, so we could live free.

We know what love is because Jesus laid down His life to save our souls. To lay down our lives for each other is true love, and all of our fallen soldiers proved that love on the battlefield. May we all live with that love and courage burning brightly in our hearts, and love each other and our country deeply.

Grace and peace to all the military families. Grace and peace to America. Grace and peace to you all.

  3. Brother Ryan God bless you and thank you for sharing this very important blog commemorating a day of utmost importance for the United States and the entire world. God has compassion on the wounded because he was wounded, he has compassion on the fallen because he himself stripped himself of his magnificent glory and fell to the lowest and became like us. Every fallen in the battle of those who give their lives for freedom and justice, their memory remains forever as the highest honor in society, remembering how the Lord Jesus Christ gave his life on the battlefield to give us victory and eternal freedom when he rose from the dead on the third day…….

    – Romans 14:7 For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself.
    8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord. Whether therefore we live or die, we are the Lord’s.
    9 For to this end Christ died and rose again.
    10 For to this end Christ died and rose again, and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.

    I will share with you here a hymn by Marcos Vidal.

  6. Beautiful. Thank you Ryan for such a great post. We need to honor those who gave their all on this day. My husband lost his dad in the Vietnam War. He died before my hubby was even one year old. So sad. We will never forget. I appreciate this post so much….no greater love, indeed.

    1. Thank you. That is sad about your husband’s Dad. May God’s comfort always be with your husband and your family. Thank you for your blessings. I have not been feeling well. I was supposed to start my new job tomorrow, but now I won’t start until June 28th due to continued health problems. I am seeing a surgeon doctor on Thursday. I will write a post about it tomorrow. I have been bleeding a lot while going to the bathroom, and I am very fatigued. My heart feels broken and I need prayer. God bless you.

  7. Ryan I just read about your health. I am so sorry. I will commit to pray for you everyday.
    Sometimes is hard to understand God’s ways Ryan.
    I always think of Job faith filled statement “ Though He slay me, I will trust in Him”?” when facing trials.

  12. Amen! Such a beautiful tribute to our fallen heroes. As the daughter of a soldier, I take great in our servicemen and women, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom.
