Nothing Can Separate Us

Photo by Ryan, Venice Beach, FL

Hello everyone and God bless you all. I’m sitting at Venice Beach again today. It is a beautiful sunny 81 degrees, and I am very thankful for such a warm blessing. The birds are enjoying it too. The Lord has been speaking a phrase to my heart lately, which has been very encouraging as I have been fighting discouragement and depression. The phrase is, “Rest in my grace.”

The Lord is impressing upon my heart that nothing can separate me from His love. Not my past sins, mistakes, or failures. Not my regrets, shame, or guilt. Not this painful disease I fight every day, or the hopelessness it makes me feel so often. Nothing can separate me from His love! His grace will always be sufficient for me, and I can truly find rest in His grace and love.

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” -Romans 8:38-39

As believers in Jesus, how often do we truly rest in that never ending promise? How often do we allow our focus to shift to the hurts and pain that drag us down? Let us always remember just how much God loves us and how wonderful and amazing His love and grace truly are.

Nothing in all creation can separate us from God’s love. Once you are His, you belong to Him forever, and nothing can ever change that. The Lord is faithful to us, He always fulfills His promises, and His grace is always with us. Rest in that eternal truth today and always.

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”  Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.  That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties.  For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Grace and peace to you all in the precious and beautiful Name of Jesus!

  2. “Nothing in all creation can separate us from God’s love”…Amen, Ryan, nothing separates us from God, ever. You always get to the heart of things so well. As I was reading what you were preaching I thought how we are never alone in our life when we have Jesus, never, not even when we are called home. And, thinking of that an old saying came to me, “You can’t take it with you.” I don’t know why I thought of that, but what we will take with us is God’s amazing promise, as you so beautifully shared, Ryan, thank you. “Nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”…how comforting is that!!!
