Walk The Romans Road

The roads built by the Romans are truly amazing feats of ancient engineering and construction that are still standing strong today. You can walk these roads that lead to beautiful sites throughout Italy, however, that is not what this post is about. The Romans Road I am talking about is a set of famous verses in the Bible that lead to the salvation of your soul. My prayer is that you will walk this road today all the way to faith in Jesus and receive eternal life.

The Book of Romans was written by the Apostle Paul between 56-58 A.D. during his time in Corinth. It is a letter to the believers in Rome during a time of heavy persecution against Christians. It is one of the most famous of his letters as it deals primarily with the Gospel and explains clearly how a person is forgiven of their sins and saved through faith in Jesus.

Let us step onto the Romans Road and take this most crucial walk through Scripture as we learn what Jesus did for us and how to receive His invitation to salvation.

“Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God–the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures regarding his Son, who as to his human nature was a descendant of David, and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord. Through him and for his name’s sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people from among all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith. And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.”

-Romans 1:1-6

“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”

-Romans 1:16-17

“This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”

-Romans 3:22-24

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.”

-Romans 5:1-2

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

-Romans 6:23

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.”

-Romans 8:1-2

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

-Romans 8:38-39

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile–the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

-Romans 10:9-13

Amen! We are justified before God and our souls are saved through faith in Jesus alone. Only through faith in Jesus are our sins forgiven. This amazing gift of God’s grace can be received by anyone in the whole world this very moment by faith. Do you know Jesus? Would you like your sins to be forgiven? Would you like to be saved and go to Heaven? If you don’t know Jesus, let the Romans Road lead you to eternal life and help you make that most important decision of your life today!

May God draw you to Himself and bless you, may He open your mind and heart to the truth, and may you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior by faith, and receive the salvation of your soul!

My spirit is always uplifted and any worry is comforted when I read scriptures on what it means for us to have faith in Jesus Christ, a peace comes over me with gratitude to God that I cannot express in words, but thankfully He knows my heart. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no created thing that is not manifest in his presence; but all things are naked and open to the eyes of him to whom we must give an account.

    Thank you my brother, it is amazing what God can do from nothing, that is our life without God nothing. When Adam was created, he was created from the nothingness of the earth, the wonders of God’s creation leave us speechless but he is the creator God, the founding God of truth in the people of Israel, he originated Israel, he made an eternal covenant that he will not forget and that he will fulfill, through Israel he gave us the Lord Jesus Christ. We could not fit in millions of books all that the Lord Jesus has done, one thing we can say as the blind man said to the Pharisees one thing I will tell you I was blind and now I see, he found us brother, and not everyone is willing to surrender to the Lord, as for me I prefer to surrender to him and fight to the end to be predestined for eternal life in Christ Jesus. Thank you for preaching the truth my brother and do not stop together we will overcome in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

  12. I was taught as a new Christian this road. The first person I won to the Lord I used it and with out no couching she became a believer. Since folks were praying at our church for those we came in contact with to get saved I was so excited to report to them her conversion. There was no pride in me in the telling for it matter now who told her about this road she was ready, someone had planted and someone watered and I got to reap. Our pastor use to say, if every book of the bible got destroyed and only Roman’s was left it would be enough. It’s exciting to teach Roman’s since it covers, who God is, who man is and what sin is. Blessings.

  14. I’ve read that when Jesus was teaching us about the straight and narrow way, he was using the examples of the beautifully formed Roman roads. 🙂
