Be With Jesus In Paradise

Today is a big day for Christians around the world!  Today is Good Friday, the day we honor Jesus for dying on the cross for our sins, so we could be forgiven and reconciled with God!  No one else in the history of the world has ever died for our sins.  Only Jesus Christ was sacrificed for our sins and it is through faith in Jesus Christ alone that we are saved!

We have all been faced with death on a worldwide scale due to Coronavirus.  All of us will take our last breath someday, whether we go from the virus or not, and we must be reconciled with God before we go.  We must be forgiven of our sins and that is why Jesus had to die.  The good news of the Gospel is that you can be forgiven and given eternal life through faith in Jesus!  This Good Friday, I plead with you to seek Jesus with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength and consider where you want to be for eternity when it’s your time to go.  We all want to be forgiven and clean before God.  We do not need to fear death!  Jesus set us free from sin and death at the cross!

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Jesus speaking in John 3:16

That day, 1,987 years ago in 33 A.D., when Jesus was taken to Golgotha to be crucified, He had you on His mind and heart.  He went to the cross knowing that God’s wrath would be poured out on Him for the sins of the world, yet still He went.  He knew the torturous pain He would suffer, but He was willing to drink the cup the Father had given Him.  He knew He had come to defeat satan, sin, and death, and nothing was going to stop Him!  The night before, after the last supper and just before He was arrested, Jesus and His disciples went to the Garden of Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives.  There in the Garden, Jesus was in great anguish as He prayed about His coming crucifixion, yet He submitted to God’s will and willingly laid down His life.

“Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.”  He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled.  Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death.  Stay here and keep watch with me.”

Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me.  Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

Matthew 26:36-39

“He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”

Matthew 26:42

In Luke, it is recorded that Jesus was under such stress that He sweat blood.  This is actually a medical reality where capillaries can break under extreme stress and the blood mixes with sweat.  That is the intense anguish that Jesus was experiencing the night before His death.  So much anguish that God even sent an angel to strengthen Him!

“Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him.  On reaching the place, he said to them, “Pray that you will not fall into temptation.”  He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”  An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him.  And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.”

Luke 22:39-44

The next day, Jesus was crucified at Golgotha with two robbers on either side of Him.  They mocked Him and beat Him and nailed Him to a cross and He suffered all of it for you and me!  It was our sins that put Him there and He took our punishment for us!

“Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole company of soldiers around him.  They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head.  They put a staff in his right hand and knelt in front of him and mocked him.  “Hail, king of the Jews!” they said.  They spit on him, and took the staff and struck him on the head again and again.  After they had mocked him, they took off the robe and put his own clothes on him.  Then they led him away to crucify him.

As they were going out, they met a man from Cyrene, named Simon, and they forced him to carry the cross.  They came to a place called Golgotha (which means The Place of the Skull).  There they offered Jesus wine to drink, mixed with gall; but after tasting it, he refused to drink it.  When they had crucified him, they divided up his clothes by casting lots.  And sitting down, they kept watch over him there.  Above his head they placed the written charge against him: THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS.  Two robbers were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left.  Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads and saying, “You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself!  Come down from the cross, if you are the Son of God!”

In the same way the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders mocked him.  “He saved others,” they said, “but he can’t save himself!  He’s the King of Israel!  Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.  He trusts in God.  Let God rescue him now if he wants him, for he said, ‘I am the Son of God.'”  In the same way the robbers who were crucified with him also heaped insults on him.”

Matthew 27:27-44

The people mocking Him regarding the temple being destroyed were referring to the time when Jesus drove the money changers out of the temple courts.  Afterwards, He prophesied that they would kill Him (“destroy this temple”) and He would raise to life in three days.  They did not understand that the “temple” He was talking about was Himself and that He would raise to life in three days after being crucified.

“Then the Jews demanded of him, “What miraculous sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?”

Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”

John 2:18-19

In Luke, we find that Jesus forgave those who crucified Him while He hung on the cross.  One of the robber’s even had a change of heart just before His death and he chose to receive Jesus as his Lord and Savior instead of mocking Him.

“Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with him to be executed.  When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the criminals–one on his right, the other on his left.  Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”  And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.”

Luke 23:32-34

“One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “Aren’t you the Christ?  Save yourself and us!”

But the other criminal rebuked him.  “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence?  We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve.  But this man has done nothing wrong.”

Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”

Jesus answered him, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.”

Luke 23:39-43

I love that conversation between Jesus and the criminal who repented!  That is how you repent!  It clearly shows us and proves that when a person puts their faith in Jesus, that person will be accepted, forgiven, and saved by Jesus!  That man was a criminal being punished for his crimes, but he confessed his sin and gave his soul to Jesus, and that very day he was with Jesus in Heaven!  Don’t ever think you are too far gone to come to Jesus!  He will forgive you and give you eternal life!

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–not by works, so that no one can boast.”

Ephesians 2:8-9

“I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.”

Jesus speaking in John 5:24

That criminal on the cross was saved by God’s grace by simply and powerfully putting his faith in Jesus to save him!  That very day hanging on the cross next to Jesus, he crossed over from death to life!  He had been condemned to death as a criminal, but he died free and forgiven as a child of God!

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.”

Romans 8:1

As Jesus died that day, several miraculous signs accompanied His death that are absolutely incredible!  Last year I wrote a post titled, “The Darkness, The Torn Curtain, The Earthquake, & The Empty Tombs” where I explained how these events are even recorded by ancient historians.  Please see that post for details.

“From the sixth hour until the ninth hour darkness came over all the land.  About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?”–which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

When some of those standing there heard this, they said, “He’s calling Elijah.”

Immediately one of them ran and got a sponge.  He filled it with wine vinegar, put it on a stick, and offered it to Jesus to drink.  The rest said, “Now leave him alone.  Let’s see if Elijah comes to save him.”

And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.

At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.  The earth shook and the rocks split.  The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.  They came out of the tombs, and after Jesus’ resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many people.

When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that happened, they were terrified and exclaimed, “Surely he was the Son of God!”

Matthew 27:45-54

Amen!  Jesus is the Son of God!  He is the King of kings and Lord of lords!  He is the Resurrection and the Life!  His Blood is so powerful that it broke the tombs open and people were raised to life that very day, even before His resurrection on the third day!  God caused darkness to cover the land and He shook the earth and split the rocks and all of this is recorded history!  And most important of all, the curtain of the temple was torn in two!  Through Jesus Christ, we can now approach God with freedom and confidence!  We no longer need to offer sacrifices for our sins!  Jesus entered Heaven by His own blood and sat down at the right hand of God!  Jesus was the final sacrifice for sins once for all!

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.  After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.”

Hebrews 1:3

“Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death–that is, the devil–and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.”

Hebrews 2:14-15

“He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.”

Hebrews 9:12

“Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.  Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.”

Hebrews 10:19-23

Amen!  I encourage you to draw near to God today!  Come to Jesus and step through the curtain with freedom and confidence!  Repent and cry out to Jesus like the criminal on the cross, and He will forgive you and receive you as His own!  Your soul will be saved, and at your last breath you will be with Jesus in paradise!

Grace and peace to you all!

The Passover Prayers

IMG_7026
Photo by Ryan, Colorado hawk on our fence

Hello friends and family and God bless you all!  It is good to be writing today.  I didn’t write the last couple days because I have been suffering through pain, nausea, and intense gut cramping due to Celiac.  Interesting that it happens during the most important time of the year for sharing the Gospel.  With that and having to discipline the kids, make more meals, and do a lot more dishes all day, it has been very difficult to write.  I appreciate your prayers.  Today is Passover and I would like to share the prayers that Jesus prayed the night before His crucifixion.

Jesus said these prayers at the end of the last supper just before He was arrested that same night.  He knew He was going to be crucified the next day as God’s sacrificial lamb and His prayers reflect that mission.  You will find these prayers in John chapter 17.  I will share all 26 verses with you here, so you have the full text.  There is great power in these prayers and they are being answered even now!

Jesus Prays for Himself

After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed:

“Father, the time has come.  Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.  For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him.  Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.  I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.  And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.

John 17:1-5

Jesus Prays for His Disciples

“I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world.   They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word.  Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you.  For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them.  They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.  I pray for them.  I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours.  All I have is yours, and all you have is mine.  And glory has come to me through them.  I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you.  Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name–the name you gave me–so that they may be one as we are one.  While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me.  None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.

“I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them.  I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.  My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.  They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.  Sanctify them by your truth; your word is truth.  As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.  For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.

John 17:6-19

Jesus Prays for All Believers

“My prayer is not for them alone.  I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.  May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.  I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me.  May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

“Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.

“Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me.  I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”

John 17:20-26

Amen Lord, may Your will be done!  Can you imagine sitting at that meal with Jesus and hearing Him pray all that?!  That prayer He prayed for all believers includes you, me, and anyone in the whole world who believes in Jesus!  The very night before He died, Jesus was thinking about us!  We were on His heart as He prepared to face the cross, and His beautiful prayer echoes throughout eternity to the glory of God!

Someday, those who believe in Jesus will be with Him in glory and we will see His glory face to face!  Jesus was with the Father before the world began and He has all authority over mankind to give us eternal life!  Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords, the Lamb of God, and the Lion of Judah, and anyone who believes in Jesus will be saved!

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was with God in the beginning.

Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.  In him was life, and that life was the light of men.  The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.”

John 1:1-5

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.  We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

John 1:14

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Romans 10:9

“for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Romans 10:13

This Passover, as we pray for the plague of Coronavirus to pass over us, let us remember the prayers of Jesus and His heart of love for us the night before He died for us.  He does not want anyone to perish.  Jesus is the perfect sinless sacrifice for the sins of the whole world!  It is His Blood that forgives our sins and sets us free!  It is His Blood that covers our families in protection!  We have all sinned and we all need a Savior, and we must put our faith in Jesus to be saved!  Do not fear the virus!  Trust in Jesus!

“Therefore, since we have such a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.  For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are–yet was without sin.  Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

Hebrews 4:14-16

Grace and peace to you all!

Troubled Hearts

IMG_7024
Photo by Ryan, Beautiful day, 4-6-20

Good morning and God bless you all!  It’s a beautiful 70 degrees here in Colorado today.  While I was chillin’ on the deck this morning, I thought about the billions of people around the world whose hearts are troubled due to the virus.  I’d like to share some comforting words that Jesus spoke to His disciples a few days before His death.  He spoke these words while having dinner with them (known as the last supper) just before the Passover Feast.  The words of Jesus have the power to comfort troubled hearts, and I pray His words comfort you all during this time of worldwide trouble.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled.  Trust in God; trust also in me.  In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I am going there to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.  You know the way to the place where I am going.”

Jesus speaking in John 14:1-4

Jesus knew His disciples were troubled, and He knows many are troubled right now.  It can feel like God is not in control and people begin to worry, but we can rest assured that God was in control in the week leading up to Jesus’ death and resurrection, and God is in control now.  Jesus does not want us to be troubled.  He wants us to trust Him and be at peace.

No matter what troubles we face, we do not have to live with troubled hearts.  Give your worries, anxieties, and fears to the Lord and let Him give you a heart of peace.  None of us can control what happens in this world, especially when it comes to a virus, but we can have faith and stand firm in it.  Real peace is found through faith in Jesus!

“Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.”

John 14:5-6

Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life!  He is our Lord and Savior, and we can trust Him to see us through Coronavirus or any other trouble on this earth!  Keep praying, keep hoping, and keep believing, and never give up!  The Lord will deliver us all from this trouble very soon!

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

1 Peter 5:7

Grace and peace to you all!

The King, The Prediction, & The Voice

Eastern gate Jerusalem (3)
The Eastern Gate, Jerusalem

Happy Palm Sunday and God bless you all!  Today is the day we celebrate, honor, and worship Jesus for triumphantly entering Jerusalem to fulfill His mission to save the world!  This is the day we remember the introduction to the last week of Jesus’ life leading up to His death and resurrection.  Jesus also predicted His death on this day and there was even a miraculous event that occurred to confirm it to the crowd who was welcoming Him with palm branches.  What a glorious day it would have been to witness our Lord, Savior, and King riding into His rightful Kingdom in fulfillment of prophecy!

Before I talk about the triumphal entry, it will help to explain the excitement that was surrounding Jesus in the days leading up to His arrival.  Just a few days before Jesus rode into Jerusalem, He had performed a great miracle when He raised Lazarus from the dead.  Many people put their faith in Jesus after that and many were seeking after Him.  It was that miracle that also made the Pharisees plot to kill Jesus because so many people were believing in Him.

“When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”  The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.

Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

Therefore many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary, and had seen what Jesus did, put their faith in him.  But some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done.  Then the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin.

“What are we accomplishing?” they asked.  “Here is this man performing many miraculous signs.  If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and then the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.”

Then one of them, named Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, spoke up, “You know nothing at all!  You do not realize that it is better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole nation perish.”

He did not say this on his own, but as high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the Jewish nation, and not only for that nation but also for the scattered children of God, to bring them together and make them one.  So from that day on they plotted to take his life.”

John 11:43-53

The miracle with Lazarus sparked a revival and people were coming to faith rapidly!  That is why the crowds were so excited about Jesus and ran out to welcome Him as He entered Jerusalem.  The night before His arrival in Jerusalem, Jesus traveled to Bethany and enjoyed a special dinner held in His honor with His friends Lazarus, Martha, and Mary (sisters of Lazarus), and His disciples.  Mary also anointed Jesus in preparation for His coming burial.  A crowd of people found out Jesus was there and came to see Him and Lazarus.  Everyone was excited to see the man who had been dead and the One who raised him to life!

“Six days before the Passover, Jesus arrived at Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.  Here a dinner was given in Jesus’ honor.  Martha served, while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him.  Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair.  And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.”

John 12:1-3

“Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.  So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well, for on account of him many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and putting their faith in him.”

John 12:9-11

So many people were coming to faith in Jesus that the rulers even wanted to kill Lazarus who had just been raised from the dead!  Just like today, there are those who hate Jesus and they hate those of us who testify about Him too.  The stage was set for Jesus to be sacrificed on the cross for our sins and nothing was going to stop God’s plan for the salvation of mankind.

The very next day, Jesus entered into Jerusalem honored and welcomed as the rightful King of Israel!  The crowd went out to meet Him with great joy and they gave Him the glory He deserves!  The people in the crowd had either seen the miracle with Lazarus with their own eyes or heard about it, and they put their faith in Jesus and gave Him praise as He entered Jerusalem in righteous victory!

“The next day the great crowd that had come for the Feast heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem.  They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting,

“Hosanna!”

“Blessed is he who comes in the name

of the Lord!”

Blessed is the King of Israel!”

Jesus found a young donkey and sat upon it, as it is written,

“Do not be afraid, O Daughter of Zion;

see, your king is coming,

seated on a donkey’s colt.”

John 12:12-15

The Scripture referencing the king seated on a donkey’s colt comes from the prophecy in Zechariah, some 500 years before Jesus was born.

“Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion!

Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem!

See, your king comes to you,

righteous and having salvation,

gentle and riding on a donkey,

on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

Zechariah 9:9

The word “Hosanna” comes from Hebrew roots and understanding the true meaning of the word helps us understand what the people were really saying to Jesus and how powerful it truly was.

“Hosanna is often thought of as a declaration of praise, similar to hallelujah, but it is actually a plea for salvation.  The Hebrew root words are found in Psalm 118:25, which says, “Save us, we pray, O LORD!” (ESV).  The Hebrew words yasha (“deliver, save”) and anna (“beg, beseech”) combine to form the word that, in English, is “hosanna.”  Literally, hosanna means “I beg you to save!” or “please deliver us!”

-GotQuestions.org

When the people were shouting “Hosanna” (Yasha anna) to Jesus, they were literally crying out to Him for salvation and deliverance, and that is exactly what He had come to do!  Jesus is our Savior and Deliverer and He is the only One who can save and deliver us!

The crowd grew because they continued to spread the word about Jesus and what He had done with Lazarus.

“Now the crowd that was with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to spread the word.  Many people, because they had heard that he had given this miraculous sign, went out to meet him.  So the Pharisees said to one another, “See, this is getting us nowhere.  Look how the whole world has gone after him!”

John 12:17-19

There were many people gathered around Him as He entered Jerusalem and they heard him predict His death.  They were also blessed to hear Jesus pray, followed immediately by God’s audible voice answering Him from Heaven!  What a glorious day that was!

“Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.  I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed.  But if it dies, it produces many seeds.  The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.  Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be.  My Father will honor the one who serves me.

“Now my heart is troubled, and what shall I say?  ‘Father, save me from this hour’?  No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour.  Father, glorify your name!”

Then a voice came from heaven, “I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.”  The crowd that was there and heard it said it had thundered; others said an angel had spoken to him.

Jesus said, “This voice was for your benefit, not mine.  Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out.  But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself.”  He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.”

John 12:23-33

Can you imagine the excitement of the crowd!  They had just seen Jesus raise Lazarus from the dead and then God answers Him directly from Heaven as He prays!  Praise God!

Palm Sunday is a celebration of that glorious day when Jesus rode humbly into Jerusalem on a donkey in order to defeat satan, sin, and death in great power and glory!  He knew what was coming and what He would suffer and He entered the city anyway, willingly laying down His life for us all!

“Then Jesus cried out, “When a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me.  When he looks at me, he sees the one who sent me.  I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.”

John 12:44-46

Let Jesus rescue you from the darkness of this world!  That is what Palm Sunday is all about!  Jesus came to save your soul and set you free!

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 6:23

Grace and peace to you all!

Online School 2020

IMG_6952

This post will be a bit different from my usual posts.  We received some big news from the superintendent of our school district today.  They will be closing the schools in our district, along with 13 other districts along the Front Range, for the rest of the school year.  We will be doing online learning from home for the remaining 7 weeks.  The Coronavirus has changed all of our lives in ways we never expected, and we are all doing our best to flow with the rapid changes it is forcing on us.  Be strong for each other and remember to be patient and kind with each other.  Everyone is feeling stressed out, but we will get through this.  Keep trusting in God, keep praying, and keep believing!  God is in control and nothing is impossible for God!

Here is part of the email we received from our superintendent:

“I want to share with you that I, along with 13 other school district superintendents across the Front Range, have collectively made the difficult decision to keep our schools closed to in-person learning for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.

A significant consideration in making this decision today is that many models currently show that the impact of COVID-19 is likely to peak in the last week of April.  Even once COVID-19 reaches its peak in Colorado, we know that there will be an equivalent amount of time after the peak in which the virus continues to pose a significant threat.  The continued safety and public health risk this presents for our students, staff, and families moves us to take the step of extended closure to in-person learning through the balance of the school year.

I participated on a call this morning with Governor Jared Polis, Colorado Commissioner of Education Katy Anthes, and many area school district superintendents.  During that call, Governor Polis acknowledged that having students continue with remote learning for the remainder of the school year eliminates yet another transition for our students.

Please know this was not an easy decision and we recognize the impact this has on our families.  However, I feel this is the best step for us to take as a school district and a community.

This is an unprecedented situation we find ourselves in and I encourage you and your loved ones to continue following the advice and guidance of healthcare professionals.  As I mentioned above, COVID-19 is expected to peak in our area during the last week of April.  Please remember to avoid playgrounds, athletic fields, ballparks, tracks, etc. located on DCSD property, and follow the Stay-At-Home executive order issued by Governor Polis.

Most importantly, please remember to take care of one another during this time.  We are in this together and we appreciate the strength of our DCSD family.

Thomas S. Tucker, Ph.D.

Superintendent

Douglas County School District”

We are living through some amazing times.  This has never happened in my country in my lifetime of 41 years.  I am praying for all the families in our community, throughout our country, and the world.  This virus is shaking the world and we have all been impacted greatly.

We truly are in this together!  The virus doesn’t care what color you are.  The virus doesn’t care what culture or country you come from.  We are all humans who were created by God in God’s image and we are in this fight together!

I agree with the superintendent that we must take care of each other.  Love each other and give each other time to adjust.  Time is a beautiful and precious gift that we can never get back.  May we all make the most of this time we have been given with each other.  Time to reconnect and slow down in this crazy fast paced world that has been in overdrive for far too long.  A time to reflect, learn, and grow.

It’s nice to have my wife and kids home.  I usually spend most of my day alone.  Now I get to have lunch with my family and I get to see them and hug them all day.  That is one big positive out of all of this and for that I am very thankful!

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

Ephesians 4:32

“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

I am praying for all of those who are suffering the virus and for all the families who have already lost loved ones.  I pray people turn to Jesus during this time.  This is a time of great testing on the earth.  God loves us and does not want us to perish.  May the Lord draw people to Himself through this time of trial and may He bring healing and peace to us all!

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Jesus speaking in John 3:16

Please don’t ever feel like you are alone!  If you need to talk or need prayer or just want to say hello, you are always welcome to drop me a line here on my blog or by email.  Nobody should ever feel alone, especially during this quarantine, so please know I am here for you as an ambassador for Jesus, and I really do care!

Also, for those of you with kids in school, the charter school my wife teaches at and our kids attend is a technology based learning school, so we have been set up for online learning for a long time.  We use Google Classroom and Zoom and the last couple weeks of learning from home has been great.  My wife has also been teaching English to students in China online for the last 2 years, and she is teaching her piano students online now too.  Needless to say, my wife knows what she is doing when it comes to teaching and technology.  If you have any questions about online learning from home, please let me know and I will ask my wife!

Remember, you are not alone!  God loves you, God is in control, and we are in this together!

Grace and peace to you all!

Tell Them About My Love

IMG_7013

It is cold and overcast today here in Colorado and we are due to get more snow.  It’s so cloudy we can’t even see the mountains.  This is typical spring weather for us.  We never know when a storm or blizzard might sweep down from the Rockies.  Our neighborhood is quiet today with everyone staying inside protected from the cold and the virus.  I’ve been praying and thinking about what to write all day.  I’ve been worn out from Celiac lately and I felt like I hit a wall today with my writing.  As I prayed one more time for what to write, I heard the Lord whisper, “tell them about my love.”  So, that’s what I’m going to do.

It might seem strange to someone who does not believe in the Lord to hear someone say they “heard the Lord whisper” something to them, but that is how the Lord speaks to us by the power of the Holy Spirit and it’s awesome!  In thinking about God’s love, my mind immediately went to 1 Corinthians and 1 John, which explain the true definition of love and the truth that God is love.  God’s very character and essence is love.  Without God, there is no love.  We have and know love because of God.

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.  Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.  Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.  This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.  This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.  Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.  No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.  And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.  If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God.  And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

God is love.  Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.  In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him.”

1 John 4:7-17

That is real love!  God loves us so much that he gave us His Son, Jesus, as a sacrifice for our sins!  God loves us so much that He promises to live inside anyone who believes in Jesus and make His love complete in us!

How does God love us?  Many of us have a distorted view of what love truly is.  Thankfully, we have God’s Word to help us understand what love should always be.

“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.  If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.  If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.  But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.”

1 Corinthians 13:1-8

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.  But the greatest of these is love.”

1 Corinthians 13:13

Since we know from 1 John that God is love, then we know that God’s character is defined by every beautiful attribute of love described by Paul in 1 Corinthians.  How does God love us?  God is patient, God is kind.  He does not envy, He does not boast, He is not proud.  He is not rude, He is not self-seeking, He is not easily angered, He keeps no record of wrongs.  God does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  He always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  God never fails and God is the greatest!

God also disciplines us in His love and His discipline leads to our good.  God’s discipline leads to holiness, righteousness, and peace.  He is a loving Father and He trains His children through His loving discipline.

“And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons:

“My son, do not make light of the

Lord’s discipline,

and do not lose heart when he

rebukes you,

because the Lord disciplines those he

loves,

and he punishes everyone he accepts

as a son.”

Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons.  For what son is not disciplined by his father?  If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons.  Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it.  How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live!  Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness.  No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful.  Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.”

Hebrews 12:5-11

Even in His discipline, God is patient and kind with us.  He protects us and guides us as He watches over our lives and helps us stay on the right path with His loving guidance and discipline, and His love will never fail!

In the Psalms we learn that God’s love will endure forever.  Nothing can change the very nature of who God is.  He is love and He will always be love!

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving

and his courts with praise;

give thanks to him and praise his

name.

For the LORD is good and his love

endures forever;

his faithfulness continues through all

generations.”

Psalm 100:4-5

We also learn in 1 John that God’s love is perfect and His perfect love drives out fear.  You do not have to be afraid of God or His love!  He does not want you to be afraid.  He wants to make you perfect in love!

“There is no fear in love.  But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment.  The one who fears is not made perfect in love.  We love because he first loved us.”

1 John 4:18-19

We know what love is because Jesus died for us on the cross!  Let that love sink deep in your heart!  There is no condemnation for those who believe in Jesus!  There is nothing to fear, not even death!  God’s love is perfect and never ending and He wants to shower you with His love!

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.”

Romans 8-1-2

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Jesus speaking in John 3:16

Do you want to be set free by God’s love?  Your freedom is waiting.  Put your faith in Jesus and He will save your soul and fill you with His love!

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Romans 10:9

“for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Romans 10:13

Trouble During Coronavirus

IMG_7010

Yes, I made it!  I am actually sitting down and writing!  It has been a crazy couple days.  I didn’t write yesterday because we had our maple tree cut down in the morning, then my wife was out picking up a prescription and she ended up with a nail in the left rear tire and a completely flat right rear tire.  I don’t know what the chances are of getting two messed up tires on the same day and during a worldwide pandemic, but it happened and we had to deal with it.

Thankfully, my wife was at a Walgreens when the tire went flat, and the owner of the auto shop next door put the spare on for free.  I recently sold my truck, so I was stuck at home unable to help her.  She was able to make it to Discount Tire, but they didn’t have the tire we needed in stock and they were too full to fix the nail tire.  They ordered the new tire for delivery today and they told her they would be able to patch the nail tire, which was comforting.  She made it home safely on the spare and nail tire, and I am very thankful the Lord kept her safe.  I will be personally thanking the man who helped my wife once the virus madness dies down.

I got the car fixed this afternoon.  I had the insurance on the tires, so the brand new $149 tire cost me nothing.  They also were able to patch the tire that had the nail in it for free.  All I paid for was the $23 insurance on the new tire.  I always get that on all the tires.  It is worth it!

Praise the Lord that is all over!  I did expose myself by going out, but I trust the Lord will protect me.  I don’t know why that had to happen during a time like this, but the Lord took care of it.  Every evil attack against me and my family will be defeated by Jesus!

Here is the maple tree we had to cut down.  It was almost 14 years old.  I planted it myself when we first moved in back in 2006.  It was a great tree, but too many harsh spring blizzards took its toll and the whole upper half died last year.  Cutting it down did open up our view of Pikes Peak from the deck again though, so that is a positive.

I’ve been thinking a lot about Easter and praying about what to write.  The Lord is showing me some cool things, as He always does, so I’m excited to start writing about all of that starting on Palm Sunday.  We might be quarantined because of the virus, but we can still celebrate and worship Jesus!  Praise God we have the internet in our time, so we can stay connected and reach out to each other in love!

This is just a short post today.  Please always remember how much God loves you!  He does not want anyone to perish.  He desires all people to come to repentance and be saved!  That is what Easter is all about!  Jesus died for us all to take away the sins of the world!  He died for me, He died for you, and He died for the whole world to set us free from sin and death and give us eternal life!  We all want to be forgiven and we all want to go to Heaven.  Jesus is Lord and He alone is our forgiveness and salvation!  In these times we are living in, there is no better time than right now to make sure your soul is saved!  Please do not hesitate and do not delay!  Today is the day of salvation!

“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”

John 1:29

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Jesus speaking in John 3:16

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Romans 10:9

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness.  He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

2 Year Anniversary Of My Book

Ryan's book cover

Two years ago today, I published my testimony “One Man’s Very Strange Supernatural Life” on Amazon!  I started writing it on 3-29-2018 and I published it on 3-30-2018, which was Good Friday that year.  Amazon shows the ebook was published on the 29th for some reason, but I started writing it on the 29th and published both the ebook and the paperback on the 30th.  My book is my testimony of the supernatural way I came to know Jesus and the supernatural events and miracles I have lived through while following Jesus.  Reading my testimony will prove to you that Jesus Christ is alive, miracles still happen, and nothing is impossible for God!

Two years goes fast!  I am so grateful to the Lord for all He has done in that time!  Hundreds of people from all over the world have copies of my testimony now and thousands have heard my testimony and the Gospel here on my blog!  Thank you to all of you who have supported and encouraged me along the way and thank you for reading my book!  I give all praise and glory to God for what He has done!  He has been so faithful and good to me and my family!  I will never forget the miracle the Lord did to save me in 2012, I will never forget the angels in 1998, and I will never forget how God defeated the demon in our house in 1996!  I will remember His miracles and wonders and proclaim what the Lord has done!

Most of us are staying home right now due to the virus, so we have a lot of time on our hands.  What a perfect time to read a book!  My book is free on Kindle Unlimited and you can also read the first few pages of chapter 1 for free on Amazon.  If you live in the United States, I can also buy copies of my ebook and email it to you for free directly from Amazon.  If you are in the U.S. and would like a free ebook, please go to my contact page to email me and I will send you one right away.  You don’t need a Kindle.  Just use the free Amazon Kindle App.  It works great and the books look awesome.  Whenever you get an ebook (free or purchased), Amazon sends it to your Kindle App library too.  Pretty cool!

One Man’s Very Strange Supernatural Life

My testimony is one of the strangest Christian testimonies you will ever hear.  It will challenge what you know to be real on this earth, and it will help you understand just how much God loves us all and how powerful He truly is.  God most definitely exists, Jesus is alive and well, and everything in God’s Word is true!  Heaven, hell, angels, demons, God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are all very real, and we all must make a choice about our souls before we take our last breath.  My hope and prayer is that my testimony will help you make a more informed decision about your eternal soul.  There is only One who saves souls, His Name is Jesus, and my life purpose is to testify to that truth!

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.”

John 14:6

You can also read my testimony here on my blog in the post below:

Remember that time when…

I pray my testimony is a blessing and encouragement to you all!  God can do absolutely anything at anytime!  Anything you can imagine and more!  Take hold of that truth and realize how much God loves you!  Run away from the darkness of this world and run into the arms of Jesus!

My prayers are with everyone and I am asking the Lord to stop the virus and bring healing!  I know this time is scary for many people, but we don’t have to be afraid with Jesus.  I urge you with all my heart to come to Jesus today!  He will give you peace and He will save your soul!

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Face Mortality Without Fear

Pic quote 2 Cor 5 v 17

We are in a moment in time when everyone is focused on the same thing worldwide.  The Coronavirus has shaken the world and forced us all to face our mortality.  Billions of people are contemplating life and death and many are scared.  I’m here to tell you that you do not need to be afraid anymore!  We will all take our last breath someday, but we don’t need to fear death!  Jesus beat death and Jesus saves souls!

There is real hope in Jesus!  He died for us, so we could be forgiven and go to Heaven!  There is no greater gift or hope in this whole world than the salvation of our souls!

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Jesus speaking in John 3:16

Is that not what we all want?  To be saved and have eternal life?  To know we are loved and safe in the arms of God?  Yes, our souls need peace!  We want to be at peace and not be afraid anymore, and Jesus is the only One who can set us free!

“Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death–that is, the devil–and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.”

Hebrews 2:15

“For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve.”

1 Corinthians 15:3-5

Easter is coming up soon and Jesus is the whole reason we celebrate Easter!  Good Friday is the day we honor Jesus for dying for us.  Easter Sunday is the day we celebrate His glorious resurrection from the dead!  Jesus destroyed the devil’s work when He died on the cross and He set us free by His blood!  He alone gives us victory over sin and death and there is no other way to be saved.

“He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning.  The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.”

1 John 3:8

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”

Acts 4:12

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.”

John 14:6

We have all sinned and we all need a Savior.  What good news it truly is that we can be saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ!  That God will forgive all of our sins and give us eternal life is the greatest news of all!

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 6:23

“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”

Romans 3:23-24

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–not by works, so that no one can boast.”

Ephesians 2:8-9

None of us could ever enter Heaven by our own effort or “good works.”  Salvation is God’s greatest gift to us all and we can only enter Heaven through faith in Jesus.  There is no boasting in Heaven.  We are saved by the Blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ, and we must put our faith in Him to have eternal life!

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.  As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”  For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile–the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Romans 10:9-13

Don’t live in fear of death any longer!  Jesus loves you and He wants to forgive all your sins and save your soul!  Come to Jesus and be at peace!

Cabin Fever Perspective

IMG_6926

Most of us around the world are under some kind of quarantine right now due to Coronavirus.  As someone with a chronic illness, it has been very interesting to see how healthy people are dealing with cabin fever and unemployment.  As many of you know, I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease on January 6th, 2012.  I have been fighting this disease and have been medically unemployed for 8 years now.  Unless you have lived it, you cannot imagine the pain and mental and emotional stress this disease has caused in my life and the lives of my wife and kids.  I have compassion on what we are all going through, but please know that a 15 day quarantine is nothing compared to what disabled and chronically ill people go through every day.

I am not saying that to make anyone feel guilty, but rather give you some perspective on the current state of so many people freaking out about being quarantined and not working for 15 days here in America.  Folks, it’s been 8 years for me!  Think about it from my perspective.  I see videos on Twitter of people losing it from cabin fever or freaking out about being out of work for a few days and I just pray everyone calms down.

Yes, Coronavirus has flipped our lives upside down.  Now you have a glimpse of what it’s like to be diagnosed with a life changing chronic illness.  I think of my friend Bill Sweeney and all he has suffered with ALS for the last 23 years.  I think of his wife and kids and how it changed their lives.  I also think of Bill’s passion and devotion to Jesus and it gives me strength!  He and his family have suffered terribly, but they press on in Christ and they are a powerful example of faithfulness to us all.

“I can do everything through him who gives me strength.”

Philippians 4:13

We must press on!  My suffering taught me to cling to the Lord and lean on Him for everything.  The first year of the disease, I could barely walk and I could only eat a few bites of rice and drink water.  I was laid out on the couch in severe pain all day and I did not leave the house for months.  I was forcibly quarantined by Celiac Disease.  It took my job, my money, my health insurance, my youth, my energy, and the beautiful healthy life I once enjoyed.  But it did not kill my spirit or my faith in Jesus and I never gave up!

Take this time of quarantine to love your family, reflect on life, and deepen your relationship with the Lord.  When everything gets stripped away and we are forced to stop and contemplate our lives, we must turn to God for strength.  Celiac almost killed me and I suffered to the point where I felt the eternal truth that I am just dust and breath.  I was laid out in the dust of the earth with my soul laid bare before God crying out in pain day and night for many years.  It didn’t start getting better to the point where I could truly function again until 2018.  That is when I published my book, started this blog, and started using Twitter.  The last couple years have been a lot better, but I still suffer and fight the disease every day.  I’m still stuck in my house and still unemployed too.

Losing your ability to earn income due to a disease is extremely stressful.  Many people are being laid off during this time of quarantine and many of those people won’t get their jobs back.  I am praying everyone can get back to work.  Please be thankful that you are healthy and you can find another job.  I can’t and haven’t been able to since 1-6-2012.  I can’t work full time anymore, people won’t hire me because of my chronic illness, and I can’t even get disability because our state doesn’t do that for people with Celiac.  Guess having a damaged small intestine and suffering Cachexia and blood sugar issues from being 30 pounds underweight doesn’t count.  Guess all the taxes I paid from all my hard work doesn’t count either.  Forget them, I don’t need the government.  God has provided for all of our needs and He has never let us down!

I have compassion on what all of us are going through and I understand cabin fever and unemployment better than most.  My wife and kids are doing online school from home now, but usually I am isolated by myself in this house all day and it’s been that way for the last 8 years.  I am never truly alone because Jesus is always with me, but sometimes it gets to me.  I can deal with the cabin fever, but it is very discouraging not being able to provide financially for my family.  That, I haven’t been able to deal with so well.  God has and always will provide and He has proven that to me, so I encourage all of you to trust in God.

“And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:19

Keep fighting and don’t give up!  Once the quarantine is over, the economy is going to rebound strong!  All those employers are going to need employees and many of you will be re-hired by your old jobs.  Take this time to polish up your resume and start sending it out now.  Make the most of this opportunity!  When do we ever get a chance to just stop and slow down?  Use this time wisely to make moves for your family and get ready for the next economic boom!

We already have good news about Hydroxychloroquine and the Z-pack (Azithromycin) curing people of Coronavirus and that good news is getting out despite the mainstream media lies about it.  The guy in Arizona who died did not take medically prescribed hydroxychloroquine.  He ingested fish tank cleaner that had chloroquine phosphate in it.  That is obviously not the same thing and what he ingested was clearly not for human consumption.  The mainstream media are liars and they spread deep state propaganda to sow fear, panic, chaos, and racial division 24/7 365 days per year with CNN and MSNBC leading the way.  The truth is, a doctor in New York City cured 350 people from Coronavirus using the hydroxychloroquine and Z-pack treatment with no complications and a 100% success rate.  If I could buy stock, I would invest in the companies making both drugs right now!

Trump also just signed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act into law today, which will give $1,200 to each adult plus $500 per child.  That will help us a little bit, but I must say I am actually pretty mad about the 2 trillion dollar bill because they let Pelosi fill it with every piece of traitorous socialist pork she wanted.  She even gave $25 million dollars to herself and the House to split between them for “additional salaries and expenses.”  There are 435 voting members in the House and 6 non-voting members, so that comes to a bonus of $56,689.34 for each member to get through the Coronavirus quarantine.  Because Coronavirus has been so hard on House members that they need to pocket a bonus that is more than most of us make in a year, right?!  Riiiiight!  Bunch of greedy traitors!

She also gave $25 million to the Kennedy Center and millions more to PBS, NPR, socialist green new deal agendas, and voter fraud; none of which has anything to do with Coronavirus.  Pelosi and the dems used the bill as their personal wish list and they stole hundreds of millions of dollars from us.  I am thankful for the $3,400 our family will get from the relief bill, but that is really not much in our Federal Reserve controlled economy and it won’t last long.  Our bills are over $5,000 per month!  Our gluten free food and daily supplies cost $2,000 per month!  The greed in Congress is so shameful!  Can you imagine what each family could do with $56,689.34?  That would change our lives!  To our greedy members of Congress it’s just another Cadillac or expensive vacation.

It’s just the same old political swamp using the same old tactics to steal from us while enriching themselves.  McConnell and the Senate allowed Pelosi to hold them hostage and delay the bill for four days, then they just gave in to her demands.  Shameful.  I don’t know how they live with themselves pocketing over $50,000 off of Coronavirus.  They throw us crumbs of $1,200 per adult knowing that $1,200 is not going to be enough in our economy that is dominated by the Fed’s high taxes and inflation, then they congratulate themselves for “helping” us, and shower themselves with money and special privileges.  They fancy themselves to be rulers over the peasants and they have long forgotten that they work for us and that is our money!  Wish I could be Robin Hood right now!

But I digress.  It is positive that we are getting some relief, the quarantine is almost over, and the markets like that.  We will all be back in the rat race soon enough looking back on this time as a memory.  Don’t spend it worrying or going cabin fever crazy.  Pray for the Lord to stop the virus, pray for those who are sick to be healed, keep moving forward, rest in the Lord, and never give up!  As one who survived many years of dark days, I can tell you that God is still in control, He still loves us, and we will see better days again.

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”  Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

2 Corinthians 12:9

Grace and peace to you all!
