Hello everyone and God bless you all!  It is September 1st and it was a beautiful sunny 91 degrees here in Colorado today.  I have been enjoying good time with my wife and kids, so this will just be a short Sunday post.  Thought I would share a few photos I took this summer along with a few powerful verses regarding God’s mercy.  Enjoy!

I always like seeing hot air balloons!  This one was taking off just after sunrise on Friday morning.  They didn’t go up very high and they landed shortly after I took the photos.  It was so peaceful watching them just float through the sky in the stillness of the morning.

The hawks hunt the open space behind our house every day.  It’s cool to hear them make their piercing sound as they soar through the clouds.  It’s been a good summer and I am very thankful for all the wonders of God’s creation!

I was reading Titus this afternoon and I love the way Paul explains why and how God saved us.  Let this remind us that God is kind, loving, merciful, and gracious to us!  Let this remind us that we are not saved because of anything we have done or could ever do!  We are saved because of His mercy!

“But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.  He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.”

Titus 3:4-7

Praise God for His kindness, love, mercy, and grace that He has poured out on the whole world by offering salvation through faith in Jesus!  Because of His mercy, anyone in the entire world can become an heir to Heaven!  Praise God and rejoice!  That is the greatest hope of all!

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Romans 10:9

Grace and peace to you all!

P.S.

We are praying for everyone in the path of Hurricane Dorian!  The Lord’s protection and blessing be with you all!

  1. Gorgeous pictures, Ryan. The sunrise on Pikes is very cool. We were with the Johnson’s tonight celebrating Marcia’s 75th bday. Had a fun time. We were talking with Preston about his heart attack and he said, With the Grace of God I woke up”. Him saying that, wow, Ryan! Knew you would be glad to hear about that. Great post!

  3. We have family that live in Colorado and they also have hot air balloons and beautiful mountains and wildlife to view. Thank you for this great reminder that salvation is free it just requires is to believe and proclaim. Amen to that! Hope you are feeling better!
