I have been up since 4 a.m. today.  Actually, I was up throughout the night sleeping on the couch and I only slept a few hours.  Midnight to 1 a.m. was not fun.  Good thing the Lord reminded me to have true grit the other day!  I am getting better, but I had some stomach issues last night on top of the coughing, so it’s been a long night.  It’s a beautiful day today though and it is supposed to be in the high 70s leading into the 80s this weekend!  Hello summer!  I wanted to thank you all for your prayers and encouragement.  Not just over the last few weeks, but since I started blogging on 8-10-18.

It has been really cool getting to know all of you and I truly appreciate the fellowship and the friendships!  It has been very healing writing here on WordPress.  Before I wrote my book (One Man’s Very Strange Supernatural Life) and started blogging I was struggling and I was stuck in despair over having Celiac.  You can read about that in my post titled “Wrestling God.”  It is amazing what the Lord has done since then and all the glory goes to Him!

I love reading your blogs and I have learned so much from all of you.  It has enriched my relationship with Jesus and encouraged me to press on.  It is awesome that we have access to such wisdom and experience in the Holy Spirit as we fellowship together!  Thank you Jesus!

Pike’s Peak

I love watching the sunrise.  It is a beautiful blessing when I am up early due to suffering.  The Rocky Mountain air is crisp and cool this morning and the sunny blue sky is perfectly clear.  Pike’s still has a lot of snow on it.  There has been so much snow that a bunch of the major ski resorts are staying open through the beginning of June.  It has been a winter full of white gold for the high country.  That’s what we call the fresh powder at the resorts and they had more than enough this year.  If skiing and snowboarding is your thing, Colorado is the place to be!

God bless you all and thank you for sticking with me through the ups and downs I have had while blogging!  God is good, He will always be good, and His grace is always sufficient!  May we keep our hands to the plow and not look back as we serve the Lord in the power of the Holy Spirit!

  3. Beautiful photos! I hope you’re feeling better! Enjoy that nice weather! We’re in the 80’s today, too, which is actually the coolest day this week. It got up to almost 100! Which is no fun when you’re working outside in the humidity. Thank you for your always wonderful posts! 😀

    1. Thanks Michelle! That is crazy hot there! I’m with you, I don’t like humidity. I prefer the dry high altitude air here for sure. When it gets in the 90s here, it is more like desert heat. Thanks for the encouragement! God bless!

  11. I do love this blog-sphere we write in and fellowship in. We give and receive such blessed encouragement!
    I’m in SD, a near-neighbor to you. After months of cold, hard winter and cold, wet spring, we rejoiced today that it was hot enough to get sweaty! But our skies are hazy with smoke from Canadian fires; a scent of smoke fills the air. Makes for red/orange sunrises and sunsets.

  15. Wow! Nice pictures! I don’t usually get to experience early mornings because I’m a night owl. Just a little story, but early Saturday morning I woke up at 4:30 a.m. because I got a cramp in my right leg! Ouch! (It still hurts by the way, and it’s 1:00 midnight…) 🙂

  20. Just catching up again on reading posts!! We love Colorado, so pretty…always love seeing the pics you posts…actually I’m with our youth group as a sponsor this weekend in Colorado…took em to Winter Park the past few days and spending a cool, rainy day at Elitch’s today!!

I’m not a huge fan of amusement parks so I’m fine just hanging out under awnings catching up on good blog reads!!🙂…btw when Nate and I were in Germany a few weeks ago our vehicle was parked at a hotel near DIA and got hail damage..you guys must be having lots of storms, rain, hail…😕

      2. That’s a bummer about the hail damage. Yes, our weather can be crazy at times. It was a cold, snowy, and rainy spring like usual. We do get a lot of hail here and lighting too. We just got an alert about a tornado warning in Elbert County right next to our county. Next week it’s supposed to start warming up, but this weekend it’s supposed to be rainy and in the high 50s. Been a slow start to summer. I’m so glad winter is over though! 🙂

      3. Yes I bet! I’m a fan of the warmer months for sure…I think for people with autoimmune disorders, we have trouble keeping warmer body temps, it’s true for me anyway!

      4. Yeah, I only weigh around 140 pounds now and sometimes I still go into the 130s. I’m cold all the time now. Celiac really messed up my small intestine. I wish I could gain weight and I pray for healing all the time. It used to be a lot hotter in June, but we get more wet and cold weather from the Pacific Northwest now due to the jet stream shift. July should be back to desert type heat though.😎🌞

      8. P.S. I know you guys are probably pretty busy with the youth group, but if you have some free time, we would love to have you visit. We could do dinner or lunch (which you know would be completely gluten free–no gluten in our house at all, so totally safe for your daughter). We can also do meals with no soy, dairy, or eggs too. We are only about 20-30 minutes southeast of Denver. It would be great to meet your family! Our daughter is 11 and our son is 9 and they would love meeting your kids.       9. Darn it!! I just saw this!! I was a sponsor for an area youth group (near my town) while I was in Denver this past weekend, so my family wasn’t actually with me but I will definitely keep that invite in mind for next time our family comes to Denver, once or twice a year typically….That would be awesome!!🙂
