Goodbye Twitter

After 2 years and 5 months on Twitter, the Lord spoke to my heart on Saturday night that it was time to leave. I prayed about it and the Lord further confirmed it through multiple warnings on Sunday. So, yesterday, I deleted my Twitter account. I’m glad to be off of that tyrannical social media platform anyway. They shadow banned me for over a year, and they continued to take my followers since the Twitter purge started on January 8th. I had over 6,000 following my account, and by yesterday (January 17th, 2021) they had me down to 4,893 with no end in sight. The amount of persecution and discrimination against Christians and conservatives on Twitter is ridiculous. Dust off my feet.

It will be good and much calmer to get back to just focusing on writing here on my blog. My main calling from the Lord is to preach the Gospel to the world through my writing, so I will continue to obey the Lord and do just that. There are other social media alternatives like Gab and Parler that do not persecute free speech, but for now I will be staying off those types of social media platforms.

It is disgusting and sad what is happening in my country. The left is engaged in an all out assault on Christian and conservative speech and thought. They call us domestic terrorists, white supremacists, Klan members, and other derogatory labels that are based on hatred and lies. My race has nothing to do with my faith in Christ. I am not a “white evangelical” or a “white Christian nationalist”. I am just a follower of Jesus.

There is no “white church” or “black church” in the Body of Christ. Divisions of the flesh come from satan. There is no “white church” or “black church” in Christianity. We are all one in Jesus, regardless of race. Those who want to add racial labels are the real racists. Even some Christians have fallen for those lies and they even write posts here on WordPress calling Christian Patriots who love their country “white evangelicals” and “white Christian nationalists.”

Writings like that are filled with hate and do nothing for Christian unity. They only serve to add fuel to the fire of hatred against their own brothers and sisters in Christ, and it disgusts me. Don’t ever come on here calling me a “white evangelical” or any other racial label. I am indeed evangelical in that I passionately share the Gospel, but being white has absolutely nothing to do with it. My Spirit has no color!

“Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.”

-Colossians 3:11

“You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

-Galatians 3:26-29

“As for those who seemed to be important–whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not judge by external appearance–those men added nothing to my message.”

-Galatians 2:6

“So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”

-2 Corinthians 5:16-17

I am completely fed up with the legalistic false preaching Pharisee types out here. They should be ashamed of themselves for writing such racist posts. They love to point their fingers and stir up hate, and I will call them out every time.

There was a woman here on WordPress that recently wrote a post about “Christian Nationalism” and it was one of the most hateful ridiculous posts I have ever read from a so called Christian. She is even supposedly a “pastor,” which made her post even more ridiculous. She blocked many of my comments to her and continues to block two comments where I responded to her sinful comments to me. She said I was “bearing bad fruit” and “ruining my testimony.” No, she is the one bearing bad fruit and ruining her testimony with her hateful racist comments. I am standing up for the truth, bearing good fruit, and honoring my testimony in Christ!

If you want to add race to everything, you are a racist. If you want to add racial labels to Christianity, you are a racist. If you want to add race to following Jesus, you are a phony Christian and you do not represent Jesus or the teachings of the Bible. Don’t ever come on here adding my race to my faith. I will rebuke you straight up!

My love for my country and my love for Jesus has nothing to do with my race! Jesus told us to love one another. He told us to love our neighbors. Loving my country is about obeying Jesus! Again, do not ever add my race to my faith! If you do that, then you should repent and stop being racist.

The left is trying to stir up a massive amount of hatred against Christians, Trump supporters, and conservatives, and they are using hateful race-baiting language to do it. I don’t know why anyone would waste a single second listening to anything Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo have to say. What racist hateful men they are! What ridiculous ignorant propaganda! The left and their traitorous media propaganda are trying to erase conservatives and Christians from society. They are trying to stir up as much hatred against us as they possibly can, and sadly many believe it, even some so called Christians. I implore you to not fall for their hateful racist lies!

Christianity has nothing to do with race! God loves all people, and the Gospel is for all people regardless of your race, ethnicity, or nationality! God loves all of us and Christ died for all of us to reconcile us to God!

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

-Jesus speaking in John 3:16

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile–the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

-Romans 10:9-13

The racist left wants to cancel God and all who believe in Him from society. They want to fire Christians from their jobs. They want to cancel our speech. They want to cancel God’s Word. We are living through a spiritual dark age where they call evil good and good evil. Where they call truth lies and lies truth. And they absolutely love to stir up racist hatred and divide us.

“Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

-Matthew 22:37-40

“Woe to those who call evil good

and good evil,

who put darkness for light

and light for darkness,

who put bitter for sweet

and sweet for bitter.”

-Isaiah 5:20

Jesus wants us to love each other regardless of race. He wants us to love God with all our hearts, souls, and minds, and love each other as ourselves. There is no place for racist divisions in His Church or in society. If you are a Christian, do not write posts that cause racial divisions! If you do, you are a hypocrite and a phony, and the Lord will deal with you. Stop looking at people from a worldly point of view. A person who is filled with God’s Holy Spirit will not view people through a racial lens. When I look at you, I do not see skin color. I see your soul, and I want you to be saved and go to Heaven!

There is no such thing as a “white evangelical” or “black evangelical” in the Body of Christ. We are all one in Christ and Christ is in all of us! Rebuke and cast out any racist talk or divisions! Flee from the race-baiting hatred being spewed like vomit from the media 24/7. Flee from any so called preacher who uses race-baiting language. Flee from all that sinful hatred!

“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

-James 4:7

Twitter and all social media is a vile disgusting place to be most of the time. The hatred being displayed in this country against Christians and conservatives is sinful and evil. Our country is being destroyed in a Marxist takeover. Do people not know history anymore? Do you see what is happening?! Do you remember what happened in 1930s Germany? Do you know who Hitler, Stalin, and Mao were? Do you know how many people they imprisoned, tortured, and slaughtered? Do you remember what happened to the Jews? Do you remember the camps? Do you remember the great suffering?!

There are insane people on the left calling for Christians, Trump supporters, and conservatives to be rounded up and put in re-education camps. They are calling for our speech to be completely erased from society. They are calling for our jobs to be taken, our news outlets shut down, and our free speech, thought, and faith to be banned. Like my friend David recently wrote about, what’s next, the burning of our Bibles? Yes, that’s exactly what is coming!

If you don’t see it, now is the time to wake up and speak the truth! This is America, not 1930s Germany! This is America, not communist China! Preach the truth, and don’t fall for their hateful atheistic race-baiting lies!

I am praying hard for my country that I love. I am praying for the lies to be cut down, eyes to be opened, and the truth to be revealed. The left has sold us out to communist China and our enemies are already within our borders ready to strike. Stand firm in Christ, and do not allow them to divide us by race or in any other way with their hateful rhetoric. Stand firm in Christ and preach the truth! Fix your eyes on Jesus, set your face like flint, and stand firm!

Jesus Christ is Lord and He doesn’t care what color you are! Salvation in Christ has nothing to do with race. He loves you, He died for you, and anyone who calls on the Name of the Lord will be saved! Love each other!

“The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”

-1 Peter 4:7-8

Grace and peace to you all!

  1. Many Christians are contemplating doing just as you did, Ryan. Last Monday, here at our ministry, we discussed this same issue. We know eventually we are going to either leave or be booted off Twitter. For now, at least, the consensus is to keep posting our ministry material on Twitter for unbelievers who may come across it, but we know this won’t last too much longer.

For individuals, I think you nailed it: “It will be good and much calmer to get back to just focusing on writing here on my blog.” I got off about 4 months ago.

You definitely did the right thing, Ryan, as you focus on this WordPress forum which, at least for now, is still allowing us to communicate our faith with a lost and dying world.

    Forge on for Him!

  2. I am so happy for you, Mr. Ryan Callahan! I left Twitter years ago, and any time I see it (when it’s linked to news or something else) my jaw hits the floor at how toxic, inaccurate, and hateful it is. It’s not a good place at all and doesn’t deserve support, especially from Christians. For me it’s been 3+ years that I don’t have it, and I don’t miss it one bit. God bless 🙂

  3. Bravo for a bold move. That’s what it will take I suppose. I use twitter a ton for my news, I enjoyed the conservatives I have always followed, and I am in total agreement with you about headlining out of there with your head held high. I think it’s a matter of time for all the other platforms as well, sadly. I hope we can find a viable alternative at some point, but it just seems like a lot of chaos right now and you are absolutely correct in choosing to focus on our main purpose, the spreading of the Gospel. I’d love to hear more as you journey onward in this area!

  4. From the beginning, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter were all places that I felt like God personally convicted me not to partake. I am SO glad to hear you are off Twitter. May the Lord heal you from that experience and give you rest. Praying for you and your family.

  5. Amen! We can’t change people or make people feel differently. All we can do is pray for them. As Christians we love each other and forgive each other. God will handle everyone else.

  6. Hallelujah! I gladly say hallelujah, Ryan. As you say, your main calling from the Lord is preaching the Gospel. His gift to you a blessing and a blessing to all of us. I am very glad your prayer was answered with confirmations to make that choice to leave Twitter, (a God’s send) and devote your writings to preaching. As you said, “Dust off my feet.” Your post is right on, too, and a beautiful one! It couldn’t have been said any better. God bless you Ryan, you speak the truth and for God’s glory. We all are God’s children!!! Amen.

  8. I hear that AOC has suggested funding for “deprogramming” “white supremacists”.
Several on the left have been calling for doing something to make sure a candidate like Trump can never get in again.
So much for the party of “tolerance”.

  9. Yes brother Ryan we have to be careful as believers, though we are not perfect yet we must continue to be wise, aware and selective. I never had a twitter account nor do I have an instagram account. Not because I did any reseach but I tried to keep technology limited (i just dont trust it). Thank you for sharing with us. God bless you

  12. Amen Ryan.. to all of it. And good for you for quitting Twitter. I quit all social media about three or four weeks ago and I feel so free. It was killing me to support those fascist and I finally got to the point where I said, enough is enough. I was just reading today that the state of Florida is going to start holding these big tech companies accountable for their actions. So glad to hear that! Hopefully more states will follow Florida’s lead. God bless!
