The Gospel Is Not Complicated

I’d like to ask you a question. Do you want to go to Heaven? Most people would answer yes, and I hope you do too. The answer to how do we get to Heaven is only found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the Gospel is not complicated. Jesus is the only One who died to forgive our sins, Jesus is the only Way to Heaven, and it is only through faith in Jesus that we can be saved and go to Heaven.

Most of my posts are at least a thousand words or more. This post will be short because I want you to focus on the simple truth of the Gospel, which teaches us that we must believe in Jesus to be saved. Saved from what, you might ask? Saved from eternal separation from God in the lake of fire. When we believe in Jesus, our sins are forgiven and we are given eternal life in Heaven.

As Jesus taught us:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” -John 3:16

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” -John 14:6

How do you put your faith in Jesus? Here is how the Apostle Paul answered that crucial question:

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile–the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” -Romans 10:9-13

Amen! That is the simple, powerful, and eternal truth of the Gospel. Believe in Jesus this very moment, and you will be saved!

I could write so much more, but as I said the Gospel is not complicated. We must come to Jesus by faith, and it is only through faith in Jesus that we are allowed into Heaven. If you would like to learn more about Jesus, the forgiveness of sins, and salvation, please check out the posts below:

  1. Amen. The gospel is simple. “For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ (2 Cor. 5:21).” May the Lord continue to bless your ministry!

  2. Amen, Ryan, beautiful. When I was baptized, with the dunking by you, I felt a total joy I can’t even express. My joy is evident though in the photograph that was taken. You said to me, ” It was the Holy Spirit, Mom!” How awesome is that! The Holy Spirit assures us we belong to God and The Bible tells us that as soon as we put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ we are sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit). Amen. I hope and pray if there are people who aren’t saved yet who are reading your post, they will take to heart your wonderful message here to accept God’s gift to believe in Jesus, so they can spend eternity in heaven. I pray they hear God calling them! The day I was baptized at your church with you, my daughter-in-law, and both grandkids by my side will always be a very, very special day for me! Praise God. Love you, Ry!

  4. Isaiah 35:8

And there will be a road and a way there, and it will be called the Way of Holiness; he will not pass uncleanly through it, but he himself will be whit them; whoever walks in the way, however clumsy, will not go astray.

  6. Amen! The Gospel is simple in its message. The challenging part for many is to believe and faithfully take the step of accepting Christ. Anyone who is still walking and searching can begin with these selected verses of Scripture.
