Prayer Request For Healing

Hello friends and family, and God bless you all. This post will be a simple request for prayer. I am not doing well. I feel deeply fatigued and I am completely exhausted from dealing with years of suffering. To all of you who know Jesus, please pray for my healing.

I was supposed to start my new job today, but I had to call my employer last week and explain the health problems I am suffering. Thankfully, he was very kind, understanding, and compassionate, and he moved my start date to June 28th. I am very thankful to God that I still have the job, and I pray for the strength to start at that time.

I will be seeing a surgeon doctor on Thursday because I have been bleeding heavily while going #2. It has been extremely discouraging, and my heart feels broken. It has also been very shocking to see the large amount of blood that pours out at times, and I am in pain. I have been crying out to God for mercy and healing, and praying I don’t have something worse like cancer.

The fatigue has been unbearable, and I barely have enough energy to function throughout the day. Most of you know that I have been suffering from Celiac Disease and Cachexia since 2012. I also had emergency gallbladder surgery on April 7th this year. I am utterly worn out, and I need the Lord’s deep healing to flow through my body. I feel like I am slowly dying, and I am desperately clinging to the Lord trying to hang on.

Just like the photo above, I can still see God’s promises and blessings through the storm, but they are blurry and my heart is filled with sorrow. I have also been struggling with a deep homesickness and hopelessness. I just keep trusting that He has a greater purpose in all of this suffering, and He will bring good out of it and glorify His Name. Please pray the Lord will encourage my heart and fill me with His joy. Please also pray for blessing and strength for my wife and kids.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” -Romans 8:28

The Lord did not promise us an easy life free from suffering. He promised that in this world we would have trouble, but to take heart because He has overcome the world. Even in my brokenness, I rejoice that I have overcome the world through my faith in Jesus, and I trust in Him to see me through this. I also trust that Jesus will never leave me nor forsake me, nothing can snatch me out of His hand, and nothing can separate me from His love.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” -Jesus speaking in John 16:33

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” -Jesus speaking in John 10:27-30

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” -Romans 8:38-39

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, please lift me up in prayer to the Lord. I am hurting, I am tired, I am broken, and I need His healing touch. Thank you for praying for me. Thank You, Jesus, for your love, mercy, and grace. May Your will be done, Lord.

Grace and peace to you all.

  1. Oh Lord God,
Have mercy on Your son Ryan. We cry out for Your healing. Lord, we have faith. Increase our faith. Show up and show off so that we can shout of another miracle that You have done.
We claim healing from the stripes that Jesus bore for us. We plead the blood of Jesus over Ryan. May he feel the wonder working power of Your Holy Spirit flood him even at this very second.
We speak life to his body and we call for it to function in the manner in which You created it to. We pray that You would do a mighty miracle here.
Lord, please also touch his family. We lift them up to You. Hold them close during this time. Give them strength to continue with their lives and to also be strong in prayer for Ryan. It is so hard to see someone you love hurting, Father. We believe that You will heal Ryan. Thank You Lord. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

  2. I’m praying for you, Ryan. Have you heard of Andrew Wommack? He’s a preacher who has a healing ministry. You can check him out — maybe visit his healing meetings or get his resource materials on healing. With love, brother.

  3. Hi brother in Christ Ryan, as the Word says we rejoice with those who rejoice and we weep with those who weep. At this present time your pain and suffering is hard and we lift you up to our Father in Heaven and our dear Lord Jesus Christ and ask for His grace and mercy and unfailing goodness and love to be poured out upon you at this time. May His peace be on you and His healing touch. May He comfort you and strengthen you and breathe fresh life into you. We trust in the goodness of God, His unfailing love and ask for renewed hope and vision to see the things that God has for you. You are a dearly beloved son of the Most High and He treasures you.

  4. Jesus fulfilled Isaiah 53, “He put upon himself our weaknesses and he carried away our disease and made us well. I speak wholeness and wellness over you, Ryan, by the stripes of Jesus you are healed. All the trauma of illness in your soul, leave in Jesus’ name. He bore all your diseases so you would live a vibrant life. Thank you Lord for abundant life for Ryan, John 10:10. Bleeding stop in Jesus’ name. Thank you Lord for your compassion for Ryan. You have compassion on the sick and heal them. The Prince of Shalom (whole and complete, nothing broken or missing) is with Ryan. Pain leave Ryan and refreshment flow from the presence of God. Thank you Lord, that the banner over Ryan is love, health, and hope. Thank you Lord that it is done! Amen

  6. I prayed, as I read out loud, each of the loving beautiful prayers that were said for you and sent to our gracious God, who loves you. I know God hears your cries for healing and our all our prayers for your healing, new strength, and peace. “Dear God, show Ryan mercy and heal him of his pain and suffering that he has felt for so many years now, please God let healing be your will for Ryan today. God, I pray you bless Ryan with a great doctor who will take very good care of him Thursday, and fix what is causing his bleeding… so begins his recovery to being healthy! Bless his health, God, please, and thank you for his new job!” Amen.
I pray you feel God’s healing hands on you, Ryan, and peace replaces your discouragement and hurtful heart. I pray for your family, too, as always. I love you all.

  10. Brother Ryan, I hate to hear you are suffering. I will be praying for you. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

I remember my father quoting a scripture to stop bleeding. He said it works. I always remembered it and when I was going through a bad time, I had it said over me. Not long after, the bleeding stoped. I will leave it here for you.

โ€œAnd when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live.โ€ ~ Ezekiel 16:6

God bless you my brother. {{hugs}} ๐Ÿ’•

  13. Ryan, what an outpouring you have received in response! As I asked myself how could I help…since 2012 I have been dealing with something in the same area, over time and through experience we begin to form a list of the best products that help us manage through life. I know myself I went through soooo many probiotics, -whole foods, sunflower shoppe, sprouts, and so on.. Now the issue I’m dealing with won’t be cured by probiotics, however, with the right one it sure does help.. anything we can do to help balance and maintain our energy levels..because there is nothing worse than having pain and being lethargic on top of that…with all that being said, I found a probiotic at this faith based pharmacy, and ever since I started maybe at least four years ago…I have continued with the same exact product. It is worth a shot, if it increases our ability to live a normal life. I apologize if you have already tried it..neways- name: Ultra Flora Balance by Metagenics. Here is a description to help, and yes I verified it’s gluten free. Amen brother.

UltraFlora Balance is one of the most recommended, practitioner-exclusive probiotic formulas in use worldwide. Features a powerful probiotic blend of B. lactis Bi-07 and L. acidophilus NCFM with a non-dairy base in capsule form. The NCFM strain is the most widely studied strain of Lactobacillus acidophilus with numerous research publicationsincluding clinical trials for a number of bothersome GI symptoms.

Reasonable price ..I just bought a bottle yesterday 32.00. Don’t know where u live, but call around ur area for a nutritionist or top grade store, but wherever u decide make sure they keep it in the fridge, and drive to go get it. Dont have them ship it. I drive an hour. I love this product cause it only hasntwo strains, and it’s efficacy is excellent..proof we don’t need 15 diff strains in a probiotic. I shall continue to lift you in prayer, because YOUR name WAS ALREADY on my prayer list by Holy Spirit inspirstion. I tried to contact u..but as u wrote for privacy concerns. God bless,

  14. Father, we pray today that your healing flows through his body. Let the Spirit that resurrected Christ from the dead move through him and bring to life every dead organ cell causing him pain.
Let him experience relief from his pain. In Jesus name. ๐Ÿ™.

I’m holding you in my heart and thoughts, that there may either be a way for you to get back to the mountains or find peace and joy where you are, and that your medical issues are finally addressed leading to the best of outcomes. It’s really good that your new employer is understanding. All the very best.

  17. Dear brother Ryan,
Greetings in the mighty name of Jesus. I am just seeing this post. I was a little busy with my book launch that took place today so I have a bit more time to sign on.
I am lost for words of comfort and not sure what to say. But I know for certain that nothing shall separate us from the love of God (Romans 8). I will be praying for you and trusting God with you. Continue to cry out to him because he is listening. God bless you my brother. I am there with you.

    1. I’m not doing well physically, emotionally, or spiritually. My doctor visit was very disappointing. I don’t know how to move forward at this point, and I don’t know what to do about the job. I am so fatigued I can barely function, and the deep homesickness is unbearable. I just want to get in my car and drive back to Colorado and start over. My wife doesn’t want to go back, and we have not been doing well. She has been very distant and it hurts my heart. Our kids will be on summer break starting Friday afternoon, so that will be good. It has been a hard year with what happened to my wife at the school. Our daughter experienced being ostracized by almost all of her friends after that, and it has been very discouraging. Thankfully, a few girls finally started sitting with her at lunch after she sat alone for several weeks. The false accusations against my wife have been very hurtful to our whole family, and our daughter has experienced a lot of embarrassment and bullying because of it. We are just ready for this year to be over. We are all exhausted. I honestly don’t know what to do anymore. I feel like I’m trying to keep my marriage and family from falling apart while suffering a disease I just can’t bear to suffer anymore, and suffering a broken heart that is crushing me. I am crying out to God for mercy and healing. I just don’t understand why we came down here. It has been an awful move for us and I hate living here. I just feel completely broken and lost at this point.

      1. Ryan I am so saddened by your news. I sense the despair in your words. There is nothing I can say that will make you feel better at this point. Sure I can share with you hundreds of Scripture verses but thatโ€™s not going to help you right now . The most I can do for you and your family is to continue praying daily for you all . Our hope is Jesus, no matter what, even when we donโ€™t understand Godโ€™s will and what He allows in the lives of His children. keep calling out to Him as you are doing Ryan. In the deep darkness we can not see the light of Godโ€™s presence and at times we are tempted to think He has abandoned us but He hasnโ€™t. Donโ€™t let the devil lie to you. I can feel the pain you are going through. Donโ€™t lose hope, keep calling to Jesus .
I want to share a prayer that Jon Huss the reformer prayed before he was burnt alive at the stake . ( I am not sharing because he died. I am sharing it because I found it powerful how he prayed in the darkness he was facing)

โ€œO most holy Christ,โ€ he prayed, โ€œdraw me, weak as I am, after Thyself, for if Thou dost not draw us we cannot follow Thee. Strengthen my spirit, that it may be willing. If the flesh is weak, let Thy grace precede us; come between and follow, for without Thee we cannot go for Thy sake to a cruel death. Give me a fearless heart, a right faith, a firm hope, a perfect love, that for Thy sake I may lay down my life with patience and joy, Amen.โ€

  23. I’m so sorry that you’re going through such a tough time. I hope you will get better soon and life will improve. I will pray for you. I find this poem, Footsteps in the Sand, very beautiful. When I go through a difficult time, I find it a comfort.

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he
    questioned the LORD about it:
“LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you’d walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
    troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
    I don’t understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me.”
    The LORD replied:
    “My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you.”

  24. Thank you, brother. Great post. Yes, I have felt that way many times. It has been very hard for me since we moved to Florida a year ago. I have been dealing with pain and homesickness, and I have felt distant from the Lord a lot. I just keep trusting that somehow God will bring peace and healing to my broken heart. Thanks for the encouragement. God bless you.
