Great Hope In Jesus

The Garden Tomb, Jerusalem, Israel

Hello friends and family, and God bless you all. It has been over a month since my last post. I have been taking a break from blogging and all social media since February. Thank you to all of you who have emailed and texted me to offer words of encouragement and prayers. I have been having a hard time with Celiac and feeling homesick, so I truly appreciate your support. Tomorrow is Resurrection Sunday, so I wanted to share some of my past Easter posts to honor Jesus and be a blessing to you all.

The most important thing I want you to remember about Easter is that we have great hope because Jesus lives. Those who crucified our Lord and Savior did not do so by their own power. They had no power over Jesus. It was God’s will to give us His Son to save our souls, and Jesus willingly laid down His life for us. Indeed, the Romans would not have been able to lay a single hand on Jesus outside of God’s will. Jesus defeated sin, death, and the evil one at the cross, and He proved He is truly the resurrection and the life when He rose from the dead in glorious power.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

-Jesus speaking in John 3:16

The great hope we have in Jesus is that death no longer has any hold on us. Those of us who believe in Jesus have already overcome the grave through our faith in Him. Through His victory we are also victorious over sin, death, and the evil one, and we stand redeemed, reconciled, and forgiven before God.

“Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death–that is, the devil–and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.”

-Hebrews 2:14-15

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.”

-Romans 5:1-2

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

-Romans 10:9

When Jesus went to the cross to die for the sins of the world, He had you on His mind and in His heart. He shed His blood to set us free and open the Way to Heaven. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and He is our only and greatest hope of salvation.

“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

-John 14:6

“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

-John 11:25-26

We are saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus alone. My prayer is that if you do not know Jesus, the Lord would open your heart and draw you near to Himself, and you would receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior by faith this very day. Easter weekend is truly a beautiful time to come to Jesus and receive the salvation of your soul.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–not by works, so that no one can boast.”

-Ephesians 2:8-9

I have written many posts in the past few years that include in depth research of the powerful events that took place during the crucifixion and resurrection, as well as the historical sites in Israel where they happened. I pray they are a blessing to you as you celebrate, honor, and worship Jesus this Easter weekend.

  2. Ryan, I’ve been praying for you. This post is a beautiful reminder of the hope we have in Jesus. I want you to know, my husband has glioblastoma which is an aggressive brain cancer. His tumor is large and he starts treatments soon. Please pray for us at this traumatic time! Pray for me as I lean on Jesus, to stay strong in Him, and for Mark as this tumor took him down fast. I’ll post soon but there’s been no time. Take care Ryan. 🙏🦋

  6. Brother Ryan, I haven’t read your blogs in a long time, they are more than blogs, words of eternal life. I lack a lot of experience to elaborate blogs that resemble yours, but one thing is for sure everything that God teaches me through you, I am grateful to God for you and every day and every moment God is in favor of those who love and honor Him. The resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ in our hearts, in our lives, our redemption, God does not live in a limited time as we humans do, but for God there is absolutely nothing impossible and he gave us the Lord Jesus so that we know that we are the most important thing that he has created since the foundation of the world. A big hug my brother and a sincere and cordial God bless you and keep you always…..

      1. 📖💎- Hebrews 4 :14
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
