A Simple Post On Eternal Life

Photo by Ryan, Venice Beach, Florida

Most of my posts are at least a thousand words, but this one will be short and sweet. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not complicated, so this post will be a simple one regarding eternal life. My main duty as a Christian is to point you to Jesus. He is our greatest hope in this entire world, and I pray this post encourages you and brings you great hope.

This verse I am about to share was spoken by Jesus, and it is quite possibly the most famous verse in the Bible. It is a short and powerful verse and it tells you how to receive eternal life. If you knew nothing else of the Bible, this verse would be enough to help you understand how to be saved and obtain eternal life. So, without further ado, here it is:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

-Jesus speaking in John 3:16

In that one verse, we learn that God loves us, He gave us His Son (which makes eternal life a gift), and if we believe in Him we will not perish but have eternal life. That, my friends, is the best news you could ever hear and it is full of hope! Come to Jesus today, put your faith in Him, and your sins will be forgiven, your soul will be saved, and you will have eternal life!

Grace and peace to you all!

  1. And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
    Isaiah 35:8

Y habrá allí calzada y camino, y será llamado Camino de Santidad; no pasará inmundo por él, sino que él mismo estará con ellos; el que anduviere en este camino, por torpe que sea, no se extraviará.
    Isaías 35:8
Grace and peace to you my brother, is that in the smallest things that we see that God did we see them simple but at the same time we realize that we will not understand the greatness of God in our life just remember and keep in mind one of the methods of God here one of many in this our redemption.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
    1 Corinthians 1:25-28

    1 Corintios 1:25-28

  2. Amen, Ryan. Thank you, your message so true…it is a powerful verse from Jesus, a promise for a everlasting life and a gift so beautiful it’s hard for me to express. Jesus Christ is all we need. “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” Acts 4:12 NIV. Thank God for this truth. And, thank you, Ryan, I’m glad you shared this very important and glorious post!

  3. There is never enough people sharing the simple Good News of Salvation in our world, on the streets, in the community and in blogs. It is the only life changing and soul saving message worth telling anyone. Keep up the good work Ryan, we pray for a harvest of souls for Heaven each time we share.

  4. Hello sir, I was born again and i was very happy and given a new heart but I soon deliberately sinned without temptation and I ignored conviction. And that last for 3 months. I havent watched porn in a while but I feel so numb and my heart is hardened. I’ve been trying to repent but I cant. I need help please. I havent felt conviction and temptation is months. I have alot anxiety. I think i cost myself salvation. I want to go back to God but I remeber the verse in Hebrews. I feel off. I dont feel the holy spirit anymore. Please answer this if you can

    1. Your honesty is a true sign of conviction and repentance. You are still saved, brother. Read John 10:27-30. Nothing can snatch you out of His hands once you are His. Return to the Lord and ask Him to give you strength to overcome temptation. He is still with you and He loves you. Also read Isaiah 44:22. I am praying for you. Grace and peace to you!

You would think that I would be happy if I confessed this to all my pastors but I dont. I cant believe that I would ever do that. I try to be sincere in my prayers but I cant. it use to come from the heart now I feel tired depressed.

    1. I pray the Lord encourages your heart and fills you with the Holy Spirit, brother. It is a common attack from the evil one to accuse us and make us feel like we are not saved. Ask the Lord to rebuke him, and draw near to the Lord. He will heal and comfort your heart. Read Romans 8:38-39. Nothing can separate us from His love. Blessings to you.

      1. Thank you. Yeh it’s like all my desires for God are gone, but I still want him. Thank you, hopefully he will heal me and forgive me

      2. He is speaking about people who continue to reject Jesus after they have received the knowledge of salvation by faith in Jesus. Don’t worry, brother. You have not rejected Jesus. Our salvation is secure by God’s grace alone through faith in Jesus alone.
