Pressing On With Jesus

Hello Everyone.  Hope all of you are doing well.  I have been taking a short break from writing the last couple of days to do some thinking and praying.  I have also been dealing with Celiac related issues that have taken away my appetite again recently.  I actually wasn’t quite sure if I was going to continue blogging here on WordPress or not, but it seems the Lord wants me to continue.  I am here to preach the Gospel and share my testimony and I must obey the Lord and press on.

I am tired today, so this will just be a short post with some photos I took last Friday, some Bible verses regarding the Gospel, and a couple links to my testimony.  The photos I took are of a huge flock of geese that flew over our house early Friday morning.  The first photo at the top is when they were flying east shortly after sunrise.  A couple hours later they all came back and flew over us again heading west.  There were several hundred of them or more and it was funny hearing them all honk.  We live at 6,115 feet, so they get pretty close to our roof top sometimes.  We have been enjoying a much warmer winter than last year, and the geese are loving it as much as we are.  It’s supposed to be almost 70 here by the weekend!

I took all these photos with my Canon PowerShot SX50 HS Camera.

God never ceases to amaze me with His creation!  I have always liked watching the geese fly over.  It’s so cool how they form that V shape.  Truly a wonder of God!

Here is a question for you.  Do you want to overcome the world and have eternal life?  I hope your answer is yes!  Let’s read how the Apostle John shared the Gospel and learn how you can overcome the world and go to Heaven.

“Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well.  This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands.  This is love for God: to obey his commands.  And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world.  This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.  Who is it that overcomes the world?  Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

This is the one who came by water and blood–Jesus Christ.  He did not come by water only, but by water and blood.  And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.  For there are three that testify: the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.  We accept man’s testimony, but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son.  Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart.  Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son.  And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.”

1 John 5:1-12

That is the pure beautiful truth of the Gospel.  God has given us His Son, Jesus, and all who believe in Him will have eternal life!  Your sins will be forgiven and you will stand reconciled before God!  That is the good news of the Gospel!

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Jesus speaking in John 3:16

“This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.  There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”

Romans 3:22-24

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 6:23

That is the most precious gift we could ever receive!  Please don’t reject it!  Jesus loves you and He died for you, so you could be forgiven and have eternal life!

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Romans 10:9

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–not by works, so that no one can boast.”

Ephesians 2:8-9

If you would like to read my testimony of the supernatural way I came to know Jesus back in 1996, and the supernatural life I have lived following Jesus ever since, please check out the links below.  Jesus is my Lord and Savior and He rescued me and my family from the evil one!  I am not ashamed of Jesus.  Please understand the truth of the Gospel that you will only have eternal life through faith in Jesus.  He is the only One who died for the forgiveness of our sins and He is the only One who can save us from sin and death.  Jesus is Lord!

Remember that time when…

    1. Thanks! I’ve been dealing with a lot of hateful and judgmental finger pointing comments lately. Even had someone take issue with my post about Kobe. It’s exhausting on top of everything with Celiac. Just have to lean into Jesus and press on. God bless!

      1. Don’t let it get to you Ryan! I know we’ve disagreed on a few things in the past (although I’m becoming more open to the concept of universal atonement), but I didn’t mean to get at you personally by disagreeing with you. And if you’re getting non Christian persecution, remember that you’re blessed if you do, because great is your reward in heaven! God bless 🙂

      2. I’ve been thinking of you and this response. I hope and pray that you stand firm in the purpose God has given you to do your blog. Your testimony and what you have to share with us is important. You’ve fought hard against Satan in the past, especially in St. Charles, and you need to keep doing so. I know from experience that it is hard to stand firm when you are tired and in pain. I read this this morning and thought of you. “There are two words for patience in the New Testament. The first means stay the course and endure. The second means to stay away from rage or furious outbursts.” Don’t allow others to dump their garbage on your soul. Refuse to pickup their refuse. (Tee hee, I love play on words!) Hurting people hurt people, they don’t know Jesus and so they lash out. That is why your testimony and blog are important. I believe in you brother!

  1. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” This is truly one of the greatest “offer” any human being can receive. Oh that more of our unsaved loved ones will choose to trade it death for life! Great post, and I hope you begin to feel stronger soon, Ryan.

  2. 1 John 5:1-12….a beautiful truth and strong scripture for sure, Ryan! I want to thank you for writing today’s post, for listening to Jesus to continue, and for being a faithful servant of God I am so saddened you have lost your appetite again from dealing with Celiac, and tired, too. I hate that for you! I do pray and hope it comes back this afternoon and you get the rest you need to begin feeling better, Ryan. Love you, son. Your pictures are so cool, what a beautiful blue sky filled with those geese. I always stop what I’m doing when I’m outside and V of geese fly over. I always wonder how long they have traveled and where they are going to land. A few years ago I was in the front yard with Madelyn, and I heard all this honking and in a few seconds wave after wave of geese were right over our heads. They just kept coming, I had never seen anything like it. They were so close and loud. ha! God’s creatures are a blessing to us for sure. We’ve been blessed with another day….of course I sure wish I was enjoying the blue sky and warm temp with you! We’re having probably the 6th week of a sunless day…but I’m not really complaining, Lord. Thank you again, Ryan, for your wonderful reminder of how Jesus saved us, our one and only Savior, and that He is King of Kings.

    1. Not sure where that comment came from Lesley. Was there something about this post that is divisive? Indeed, the evil one can attack and fire his arrows, but praise God Jesus destroyed his work. I am very thankful that Jesus won the war and we are covered and protected by His blood. God bless

  3. Hi Ryan, I know that you may not post this and that is OK. I wrote an article a while ago that dealt with the disagreement that you and I had. It specifically dealt with some of the mistakes that I made. This is the post: https://bcooper.wordpress.com/2020/01/18/reflections/. I am hoping that you can forgive me for the oversights that I committed. Short story is that I should have known better. Regardless to our disagreements, you and I are brothers in the Lord and I want to apologize to you for the unnecessary friction and stress that I caused you. I guess that is about it. I wish you and your ministry well Ryan. God bless.

    1. Thanks Bruce. Yeah, I read that back when you first published it. I forgive as Christ forgave me. I have no right to hold a grudge or be unforgiving. None of us do. I will continue to speak the truth regarding politics or anything else God wants me to speak truth to. I don’t care who agrees with me or not. I will continue to speak truth to my fellow Christians too even when they slander me like that one lady did. I have parted ways with every Christian who believes and preaches liberal lies and I will continue to part ways. There is always forgiveness, but I have no fellowship with people who believe liberal lies and slander me because I speak the truth. God bless you as well.
