Slander Saturday

Boy, oh, boy!  I don’t usually do two posts in one day, but it has been quite a day!  Today is Saturday and I have been dealing with hatred and slander all day.  Not only that, the hate and slander has been coming from someone who claimed to be my sister in Christ who I have known here on WordPress for over a year.  She did not like my post, “Strong Disagreements & Parting Ways” and let me know by slandering me.  It was actually pretty crazy and shocking, especially since we shared fellowship for a long time.  You never know who someone really is and what kind of hatred they may harbor against you.  Also, just because someone claims to know Jesus doesn’t always mean they really know Him.

The hate and slander I received today was actually the worst I have ever encountered on WordPress.  Pretty crazy that it came from someone claiming to know Jesus.  Still shaking my head on that one.  We have to be careful with who we share fellowship with.  Not everyone that claims to be your friend is actually your friend.  Sometimes a person that even claims to be a brother or sister in Christ is actually false and will eventually try to tear you down.  That is what happened to me today.  Not a real fun way to spend a Saturday.

If you would like to see the conversation, please click the post below and scroll through the comments (the link will open in a separate window for your convenience).  I have blacklisted her from my blog because of her hateful slander.  She is actually the 4th person I have blocked from my blog since writing that post.  I appreciate God weeding out false people who surrounded me.  It’s good to know a person’s true heart and God will always protect me.

Strong Disagreements & Parting Ways

Be careful who you trust out here in the blogging world.  Like I tell my kids, salvation is a free gift from God through faith in Jesus Christ, but you have to earn trust and respect.  The second you lie about me and slander me, I lose all respect and trust for you.  I forgive her, but somebody with that much hate in her heart cannot be trusted, so I am parting ways.  Don’t let anybody ever harass you here on WordPress and don’t ever be afraid to speak the truth!

“Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and courageous.  Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Joshua 1:9

Grace and peace to you all!

  2. Ryan,

Thanks for writing two posts today. We do not mind at all. If they aren’t slandering, backbiting, gossiping, and they are not offended then we aren’t doing something right. Lol.

I’m half joking. I never set out to offend. Neither did Jesus. All He did, is tell it like it is.

WHAT other way is there to say it, but one- THE WAY OF TRUTH.

Let them slander. Let them say, do, plan, scheme, congregate, plot, speak, let them jump up and down, and when it’s all said and done…they will be standing in the same exact spot.

I love this part of your post:

“Also, just because someone claims to know Jesus doesn’t always mean they really know Him. ”

Brother, YOU CAN SAY THAT AGAIN. and AGAIN. AND AGAIN. I like to use this analogy “we have all read about Christopher Columbus, we know details and facts, dates, names of ships, his race, discoveries, voyages, perhaps even detailed accounts, but how many today can say they REALLY KNOW Christopher Columbus? How many today have heard him speak? How many have held his hand, or given him an embrace? How many know or recognize the sound of his laughter. Was he warm? Mean spirited? Who here can share with us an account or personal experience they have had with him?

None of us can. ZERO. ZILCH.

Why is that brother Callahan? Tell us..preach it! Amen.

Callahan: because none of us have ever met him.

We just know of him. Two DISTINCTLY different things.

several amens can be heard in agreance. the audience applauds for the apparent truth resonates within them.

Which brings us brothers and sisters at the closing of tonight’s message. We have some good news and we have some bad news.

Anybody alive today hoping to meet Christopher columbus tonight, I’m sorry to tell you that ship has long sailed FAREWELL. It is an impossibility.

    That was the bad news.

    Ready for the good news?

The entire audience simultaneously inches forward to the edge of their seats, gripped and captivated…

    Yes!! We are!!

The good news is that all those here tonight hoping to meet Jesus Christ.. CAN DO JUST THAT, RIGHT NOW.

Just like Christopher c, Jesus died just like him…

except.for one thing- HE ROSE FROM THE GRAVE THREE DAYS LATER.

now for all you who think you know Jesus Christ, I ask you to ask yourselves those exact same questions mentioned earlier….or ask them to someone else who testifies they in fact know Jesus Christ, if they cannot answer them.. dont know… , get mad, leave,

Well Then, we all know why..

That’s the difference between book learning. And REAL LIFE. I AM , WE are not putting anyone down, heavens know, our aim is for ALLLL that have a desire, to truly get to know Jesus. For them to gain their own RICH personal MIRACULOUS experiences, in order to share them, testify them, bless others. Finally, EVERY MOMENT SHARED WITH JESUS, IS A MIRACLE. EVERY EXPERIENCE WE HAVE WITH HIM, IS AN OUTRIGHT MIRACLE. God bless you all, in Jesus name, Amen

What do I mean? People fall into the delusion that they know someone because they know details, facts about them. I am not saying I have not been this person. We all have.

  3. Sorry to hear that Ryan. How do you even block someone on WordPress? Hopefully I won’t have to, but it would be useful to know just in case I do…

    1. Thanks Robert. Go into your discussion settings. At the very bottom there is a blacklist box and you can type in words from their site name or url and if they try to leave comments on your site, they will go directly to the trash. I also removed them from following my blog. People can follow you again if you remove them, but if they do I will just remove them again. You can also add a blog to your blocked sites list from the Reader. Also, if you have trouble with spam, the only thing that is 100% effective at stopping spam is making sure the button is clicked that says, “Users must be registered and logged in to comment.” That is also in the discussion settings. Go to “My Site,” then “Manage,” then “Settings,” then click ” Discussion.”

      God bless!

    2. P.S. Just so people know, you remove people from following your blog by going to My Site-Manage-People, then click Followers. You can just scroll through the entire list of people following you and remove whoever you want. You can also remove email followers.
