Colorado Bobcat

Hello everyone!  Just a quick post tonight.  A neighbor posted some cool photos of a Bobcat the other day and I thought you might like to see it.  Bobcats live here in Colorado, but it is very rare to see one, especially so close to Denver.  I have mentioned that this area use to be a Native American hunting ground and it is still very wild.  This Bobcat was walking through the golf course just up the street from our home.  They are bigger than people think.  Mountain lions and bears use it as a travel path too.  Never know what you are going to run into out here in Colorado!  It is a beautiful part of God’s creation, but you don’t want to get tangled up with that big kitty.  If you see one, it is wise to respect it and give it plenty of space.

God is awesome!

“You bring darkness, it becomes night, and all the beasts of the forest prowl.”

Psalm 104:20

Grace and peace to you all!

    1. Yeah, not something you want to run into while jogging. There is an elementary school close to the golf course too. They have had to put schools on lock down before because of mountain lions watching kids at recess. It’s almost like the foothills where we live, so we have to use our instincts out here. God bless!

  1. Such a cool cat…just minding his own business, looking content and comfortable strolling along his open space. Sharp and healthy looking Bobcat…must be finding plenty of mice and rabbits.

  2. They can be quite dangerous! I saw one only once when we were living by the little white house by the creek. It wasn’t very big and was the size of our adult cat….these are awesome pics! Colorado is so beautiful! Y’all are blessed!

    1. Amen, that’s the truth! I really hope it comes through the open space behind our home!😊🐱 I haven’t talked about this on my blog yet, but a few weeks back we were pretty sure we had bear poop in our backyard. It was during the same time that people were seeing a black bear roaming the area. I had never seen poop like that in the yard before, so I looked it up and it was definitely a bear. Gotta watch your back out here! God bless!

      1. That’s good. Yeah, the predators are definitely living with us right next to our homes and schools. Gotta have your head up out here. 🙂 Now people know why I carry a .45 when we go to the park and go on bike rides. 🙂
