Give It All To Jesus

Pic quote Matthew 6 v 33

Good morning everyone!  It is the start of a new week and I pray the Lord blesses us all!  I want to talk about worry today and what to do with it.  If you have lived on this earth for a good amount of time, then you know by now that life is not easy…and that is an understatement.  All kinds of problems can come at us from every direction and at times it comes at us all at once.  I have good news!  You don’t have to carry those burdens anymore!  Jesus wants you to give them all to Him!

This weekend was crazy for our family.  On top of the pain I have been dealing with from the damage in my body due to Celiac, we have taken a series of financial hits that have left us hurting.  We had just spent a thousand dollars on staining our fence a few weeks ago (because our HOA ordered us to) and then this weekend our refrigerator died.  Then yesterday, our daughter came down with a high fever and she was diagnosed with strep.  This weekend felt like getting slapped in the face only to turn away from it and get slapped again.  Yes, troubles can come at us like that.  Welcome to earth!

Thankfully, I have learned in my almost 23 years walking with Jesus to give it all to Him immediately.  It doesn’t do any good to freak out or worry.  That just causes pain for yourself and for everyone around you.  I know, because I’m not perfect and sometimes I freak out.  Sometimes I get angry and sometimes I still wrestle with God.  That is not a good way to handle things.

There are so many things I could worry about.  I have a chronic illness, two actually.  I can no longer maintain full time employment like I used to when I was healthy.  I make no income.  I have debt up to my eyeballs!  I have two kids to raise and bills to pay.  I have no health insurance and haven’t for at least eight years.  I have no savings and no retirement and I’m 41 years old.  I could go on, but you get the point.  Worrying does no good.

You know what does do good though?!  Giving it all to Jesus!!!  That’s what I do and that’s what I did this weekend!

The Lord blessed us with a brand new fridge and we were able to get it delivered Saturday!  Our daughter was given antibiotics and she is already feeling better!  My wife got paid an extra thousand dollars in her paycheck because of sick days she never used and I’m not in pain this morning!  Somebody please give the Lord some praise!!!  Thank You Jesus!!!  Are you smiling yet?!  Are you feelin’ the Spirit?!!!

You see?  God’s got this!  He always did and He always will!  What trouble?  We have overcome the world through Jesus!  What worry?  Where did it go?  God took it, that’s where it went!

“Who is it that overcomes the world?  Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.”

1 John 5:5

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart!  I have overcome the world.”

Jesus speaking in John 16:33

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.  We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”

2 Corinthians 4:7-9

We may be struck down and hanging on by a thread at times, but He will lift us up and deliver us from every trouble!  We will not be overcome!  Our Lord and Savior overcame the world!  Our job is to seek Jesus first!  Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and He will take care of you!

“A righteous man may have many

troubles,

but the Lord delivers him from them

all.”

Psalm 34:19

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.  Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

1 Peter 5:6-7

Listen to how Jesus said it:

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear.  Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?  Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.  Are you not much more valuable than they?  Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

And why do you worry about clothes?  See how the lilies of the field grow.  They do not labor or spin.  Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.  If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?  So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Jesus speaking in Matthew 6:25-34

Amen Lord!  That’s the truth!  How beautiful it is to be cared for by the Lord!

Whatever troubles you are facing today, I encourage you to seek Jesus first and give it all to Him!  Lift it up and let it go!  Jesus loves you and He wants to relieve you of those burdens!

Please pray with me:

“Lord Jesus, thank You for how You care for us!  Please forgive me for my worry and for even getting angry at times when troubles come our way.  Right now I give You all the troubles in my mind and heart.  Please bring healing and peace to everything that is broken and pour out Your blessing into our health and finances.  Bless our marriage and our kids and pour out Your Holy Spirit on us.  I give it all to You Lord, may Your will be done, amen!”

Always remember that God is love and He cares for us!  Through Jesus we have access to the One who created us and He knows exactly what we need!  He will provide for us and sustain us and He will never leave us!  May we always trust in Jesus!

Grace and peace to you all!

“Do not let your hearts be troubled.  Trust in God; trust also in me.”

Jesus speaking in John 14:1

  1. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. 2. amen, praise the Lord, when things get too much for us God comes through in mighty power.. We don’t have to worry.
Matthew 10 29-31 Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. “But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. “So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.

  3. The Lord is so faithful. Your post brought tears from my eyes Ryan. Through our trials and pain we learn to trust God. There is no where else for us to go. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

  4. Praise the Lord, Ryan! What a powerful testimony! This is not a pity party, it is a praise party. Troubles will come because, as you said, we are living on earth. The earth was cursed and so it comes with problems. If you move to Mars you will no longer have any earthly problems, but you will have Mars’ problems. But, thanks be to God, because Jesus came to earth and took care of earthly problems. I don’t know if He went to Mars. I doubt it. But, while on earth we can give our troubles to the Lord. Amen! Keep on trusting and believing becasue God is more than able to save, deliver and satisfy. Continue to praise the Lord.

  5. Great post Ryan……we all struggle with the human condition of thinking we can control the future by worrying and stressing over it…one of the most important life lessons with the Lord is to lift it all to him and let go…….for us control freaks…not so easy. As I am far from perfect with this aspect of letting go and have been working on it through prayer my entire life, I never cease to be amazed with how He takes care of us and how things happen to guide us, take care of us and help us! Praise Him and I daily thank him for His faithfulness! Bless you and your family!
