Hello everyone and God bless you all! Back on April 11th, our sister in Christ Caralyn from Beauty Beyond Bones wrote a post where she introduced her new B³ apparel line. I was so encouraged by her beautiful message of healing in “Come to life” that I ordered a hoodie right after reading her post! I promised Caralyn I would do a post about it as soon as it arrived. This one is for you sister! Thanks for making such a cool Christ centered clothing line!
Let me just say that this hoodie is super comfortable and high quality! It is warm and cozy and it’s perfect for the cold rainy weather we are having today. I am 6 foot 1, so I bought a 2XL and it fits perfectly, in case you are wondering.
Here is what Caralyn said about why she created B3 Apparel and what the “Come to life” phrase means:
“One of the first things that people ask me, when they hear the name of my blog, is What does BeautyBeyondBones mean?
I think that since this has its origins as an anorexia recovery blog, most people assume that the “Bones” in the title correlates to that. But actually, that’s not the case.
One of the most meaningful stories in the Bible – at least to me – is from Ezekiel 37: The Valley of the Dry Bones.
There are all these, dead, dry bones shriveled up in the desert. And Jesus breathes life into the bones, and they come together and form a strong army.
“This is what the Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.” Ez 37:5
And you will come to life.
Come to life.
That’s been the cornerstone of my recovery from anorexia: embracing the life that Jesus died to save. To fully come to life, and embrace the freedom of a life in Him. A life deemed worthy by His blood. To embrace it and live it to the full.
Every single day, He invites us to come to life. He invites us to lay down at His feet, all those things we’re hanging onto, and that prevent us from living in the freedom that He purchased.
So…with that, I’m excited to announce that today, I’m launching a B³ apparel line!
My B³ line emphasizes that invitation to “Come to life” – in however that applies to your life: be it recovery, your relationship with Christ, your relationship with yourself, or simply embracing a life of abundance. Come to life.”

Amen Caralyn! That is so beautiful and powerful! Thank You Jesus for setting us free!
Wearing this has deep meaning for me and I wear it as a representation of the victory I have in Jesus Christ! Victory over sin, victory, over death, and victory over the Celiac Disease that almost killed me! I have come to life again because of Jesus and I am forever grateful!
You know what else is really cool?! Yesterday at church, our new Pastor talked about what the Rabbis in Jerusalem were reading on the Sabbath day that Jesus was in the tomb before Resurrection Sunday. Guess what they were reading? They were reading Ezekiel 37:1-6! I knew I was going to be writing this post today and when I heard the Pastor say that, I just smiled and praised God in my heart. It’s also really cool that the Rabbis read that passage of Scripture and then the next day Jesus rose back to life! Praise God!
“The hand of the Lord was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”
I said, “O Sovereign Lord, you alone know.”
Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.'”
Ezekiel 37:1-6
I know what it’s like to be laid out in the dust of the earth on the verge of death. When I weighed 128 pounds clinging to life in excruciating pain from a body devastated by disease, I could feel that I am dust. Back in 2012 I was preparing myself to die and I thought my time was up, but the Lord lifted me out of that pit of suffering and death and He breathed new life into me yet again! I feel like Hezekiah when he was given a second chance and I have truly come to life! I know that Jesus is Lord and nothing is impossible for Him!
“Surely it was for my benefit
that I suffered such
anguish.
In your love you kept me
from the pit of
destruction;
you have put all my sins
behind your back.”
Isaiah 38:17
Yesterday we celebrated Jesus coming back to life! Jesus is the resurrection and the life and He can and will breathe new life into you too! I stand with Caralyn and encourage you all to come to life today! Today is the day of salvation! Today is the day of your deliverance and freedom! May we all take hold of the abundant life that Jesus wants for us and be at peace in His love and forgiveness!
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
Jesus in John 10:10
I praise God for the message of hope and freedom the Lord is sharing through you Caralyn! Keep going strong for Jesus!
Grace and peace to you all!

I always look forward to your posts, too, Ryan. Hey, the sweatshirt graphic is cool, looks warm, too. I can see why it means so much to you. I pray her line takes off with her great message, I’m sure it will (with a little help from of my modeling son). How many times has Jesus talked to your heart to confirm what you are already thinking about?! Really cool that your pastor preached about what was already on your heart to blog about. Amen!
