Even In Illness

Kids home sick

Hello everyone and God bless you!  Yesterday was a busy day, and I wasn’t able to write a post.  I took my daughter to the doctor and they are treating her for strep.  She is on antibiotics now.  Our son started feeling sick last night, so he is home today as well.  I hope and pray he doesn’t get strep.  He threw up this morning, but he still doesn’t have a fever.  As you can see, they are snuggled up watching Netflix this morning.  I appreciate that many of you have asked about them and thank you all for your prayers!  They will be better soon in the Name of Jesus!

Through the power and encouragement Jesus gives us through the Holy Spirit, even in illness, we can still say:

“This is the day the Lord

has made;

let us rejoice and be glad

in it.”

Psalm 118:24

Have a blessed day resting in the love of the Lord!

Grace and peace to you all!

    1. Thank you Steve! Yes, the last 7 years since I was diagnosed have been a struggle. Thanks for sharing that! I had major villous atrophy in my small intestine, so I lost a bunch of weight. I was 128 pounds at diagnosis on 1-6-12. I am 6 foot 1 inch tall and my normal weight was around 160. I’m around 140 now. The damage to my villi made it so I can’t absorb nutrients properly from all the food I eat. That caused a separate condition called Cachexia, which is not fun. I can’t gain proper weight and it causes blood sugar issues sometimes. Our kids have Celiac too, but we caught it before it hurt them. They have been gluten free most of their lives. Thanks again for the prayers! God bless!
