He Is Greater

Pic quote John 3 v 30

Hello everyone!  My kids had Friday off and they have today off too, so we have been enjoying the long 4 day weekend.  I have been doing a lot of thinking and praying the last few days.  I always do, but I have been struggling with some things the last few days.  The longer I walk with Jesus the more I realize that it’s not about me and it’s all about Him.  He gives us gifts that we are to use for His glory to build His Kingdom.  The spiritual gifts He gives us are not ours to keep to ourselves.  Just like John the Baptist said, we must become less as Jesus becomes greater in our lives.  We must let Him work in us as He sees fit.  He is the potter and we are the clay.  Following Jesus is a daily, even moment by moment, surrender of yourself to His will.  If you find yourself in a place where you just can’t seem to pray, then remember the simple phrase of humble submission the Lord taught us and pray, “Your will be done.”

“Yet, O Lord, you are our Father.  We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.”

Isaiah 64:8

“For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.  For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”

2 Corinthians 4:5-7

Whatever it is, lay it down at the foot of the cross and give the Lord your heart today.  He knows you and He loves you.  May His will be done in all things!

Grace and peace to you all in the Name of Jesus!

“Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me.  Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

Matthew 26:39

  1. Yeah, He is greater. The more we walk with Him, the more we know Him, the more we realize this. As we grow in Him, our thinking changes from : how much pleasure am I getting out of life, to how much pleasure is He getting out of my life? Thanks for this gentle reminder, God bless you.

  2. Jesus knows exactly who we are and what we need, and I have trust in him like a dear friend, for that I am very thankful….just like the age old hymn “We have a friend in Jesus”. Amen!
Glad you all are enjoying your 4 day week end!

    1. Amen brother! Sorry for the late reply. It put your comment in my spam folder, which is dumb because we comment back and forth all the time. Very strange. There are some weird glitches on WordPress. Thanks for the encouragement and blessings! God bless you and your fam too Kirt!
