My First Podcast Interview

Good morning everyone!  We had a blizzard come through last night, so my wife and kids have a snow day.  We are staying warm and cozy and enjoying the day off!  I was very blessed and encouraged to do my first ever podcast interview this morning with BottomlessCoffee007!  He has a great format that is off the cuff and free flowing and it was a lot of fun.  We had a cool conversation and I had a great time talking with him!  Thanks again brother!!!

Here is the link to his blog and our conversation.  Thank You Jesus for the great opportunity to speak about You and what You’ve done in my life!

      1. Oh, I appreciate the prayers Ryan! I enjoyed listening to it. Sorry it took me so long….sick kids here. I too struggle with my blood sugar, a sad side effect of my tbi. I have been asked to do a podcast telling my story…..but, I’m not sure I’m ready. I’ve been praying about that. Listening to your podcast really encourages me! God bless you!!

    1. Thank you. Well not down here. We got at least 10″ and it was still snowing up to about 1:00. They said Douglas County and the front range would get hit the hardest, but you guys up North were spared. I just shoveled a bunch of snow off the driveway. 😊

  1. Got to sit down and listen to some of it yesterday. You grabbed my attention as soon as you started talking, Mr Callahan. Great to actually hear you. We most certainly can open ourselves up to demonic attacks – I can attest to that! I grinned when you talked about what you did when you got saved and cast the demons out of the house. Praise Your Holy Name, Father, for Your power!

    1. Hey sister! I was checking my spam folder and a few comments you had written for this post were put in my spam folder. Weird WordPress glitch I guess. This has happened to me before with other people who are already approved to make comments. It should not have put your comments in spam. Sorry about that. C’mon WordPress! I wanted to answer this question you had: “I’m glad to hear that. Is it still snowing over there?” It won’t let me reply directly to that comment for some reason, so I’m replying here.

No, the snow has stopped, thank God! I hope we don’t get any more blizzards! Really looking forward to spring and summer! God bless!

      1. That happens with me frequently – I try to reply to some comments, but they won’t send it, so I have to go on either WordPress Reader, or the post itself to put up the comment. There is a specific blogger that it happens with – Bible Blogger. It’s downright annoying. Hopefully, this one will go through! Please WordPress!
Did you have some blizzards? Glad that you aren’t getting anymore. What’s it like when there’s a blizzard? Forgive my ignorance – where I live we don’t get any snow or blizzards. 🙂 Australia’s very much a dry continent.
I love spring and summer, too! Well…it’s debatable with summer – here in summer, when it gets hot…it can get REALLY hot.

      2. I got this one perfectly! 🙂 Yes, we just had a blizzard come through a few days ago. For it to be classified a blizzard there has to be high winds and snow. During this last one, they called it a “bomb cyclone” and we had category 2 hurricane winds. The 70+ mph gusts of blowing snow are crazy loud on the house, but we were okay. We got about a foot of snow. It has been getting warmer, so a lot of it is already gone. I have always wanted to visit Australia. When our daughter was little she got to hold a baby kangaroo at the summer festival in our town. 🙂 Cute animals. When I think of Australia, I usually think of the movie “Quigley Down Under.” 🙂 God bless!

      3. Oh, wow. Glad you guys were alright. I recall Laura Ingalls in her Little House on the Prairie books talking about experiencing quite a few blizzards, but she wouldn’t dwell on it too much, she would be writing about other things, so I would know it was something bad (as evidence by the fact that she or other people dear to her almost missed the house(s) by an inch or two and nearly disappeared into the storm), but I wouldn’t know much about it. Thanks for the info! Doesn’t sound like fun.
I hope you get to visit. You could then tell everyone that the tales of us living in daily fear of crocs or snakes and such are all urban myths. We need to be careful out in the bush or around swamps and such, but not in the city.
That’s cool! I remember once I got to hold one as well! But unfortunately only once. But they can be quite dangerous.
They are quite cute – when they are babies. LOL.
I have never heard of the movie “Quigley Down Under”. The only Aussie movies that I have seen are “Red Dog”, “Red Dog: True Blue”, the Dot and the Kangaroo movies and the other Dot movies, “The Second Chance”, “Going For The Gold”, and some other Aussie gymnastic movies, “Beneath Hill 60” and I have seen (and love) the Aussie conspiracy thriller TV series “Conspiracy 365” and have read the books and it’s spin-off sequels and love them all. I mainly watch American or British movies or TV series.

      4. Little House on the Prairie is right. You could definitely get lost in a blizzard and the freezing temps are deadly. Our kids love the Australian gymnastics shows too. They also like Mako Mermaids, H20 Just Add Water, Lighting Point, and The Elephant Princess. All those shows are produced by Jonathan M. Shiff. My kids love the Australian accent.😊

      5. Oh, thanks! I was watching Octonauts earlier and I found it quite amusing when in one episode, they go to Australia, and Kwazi (I hope I’ve spelt his name right) says “I’ve heard many a tale about the strange creatures that live here” and when they come across a couple platypuses that are attacking them, Kwazi – not knowing what they are – calls them “duck-billed monsters” because of how they look.
I’ve heard that with King Kong: Skull Island, some (or all) of the cast were scared to come to Australia to film because of all the false rumours they had heard about down under.
I have never heard of any of those shows, either. And haven’t heard of Jonathan M. Shiff, either.
