The Rocky Mountains here in Colorado are a sanctuary of peace and majesty from the Lord. I was reading Psalms this morning, and I came across Psalm 84. It reminded me of the beauty of Rocky Mountain National Park and took me back to memories of when I lived up in Estes Park in the summer of ’98. My soul yearns to be with the Lord! Heaven is going to be so much more beautiful than anything we could ever imagine here on earth and I long to be there with Him! I pray the beauty of these verses and the beauty in God’s creation will give you hope and joy as we wait for our time to be at home with the Lord. Since He has made the Rockies so lovely, just imagine how lovely His dwelling place is! God bless you all!
“How lovely is your dwelling
place,
O Lord Almighty!
My soul yearns, even
faints,
for the courts of the Lord;
my heart and my flesh cry
out
for the living God.”
Psalm 84:1-2
Grace and peace to you all in Jesus’ Name!
I just love our beautiful state! 🙂

I was able to visit Colorado when I was 18, with my sister and brother-in-law. He was a truck driver and we traveled for two straight weeks! Colorado was the most beautiful! Thanks for sharing the pics!

These mountainous places of God’s creation are all so breathtaking! When you are the one amongst such wonder and beauty, like these photographers were, you feel so close to God you weep… with thanks and a deep love for our Father. I felt this way one early morning at Yellowstone. Your Dad and I were taking in the absolute beauty of the famous waterfall there, and all of a sudden I felt this love for God wash over me. I just wept . I was so full of gratefulness to God for His love. I knew I was taking in this magnificent waterfall and mountainous land that had been created by my God in all its glory and grandeur. I thanked God for that beautiful moment he had blessed me with while sharing it with your Dad. God’s beauty does give me hope and joy during my time here, and I know my eternal home will be so much more!!!
Many blessings to you, Ryan.
Love you,
Mom

That’s awesome! Growing up near Denver in the 80s was fun! We love it here! My wife is from Anchorage, but I have lived here for 32 of my 40 years and I was raised here. The politics have changed a lot and crime has gone up in Denver and the metro area due to the “sanctuary city” policy, but the state is still a great place to live. They (the dems) are raising taxes like crazy though and it is becoming as expensive as California. Many have gone to Texas because the cost of living is becoming unaffordable. The dems from Cali came here and took over through lavish super pacs. Glad we bought our house 12 years ago! 😄

I hear you….I scratch my head with the mentality of raising taxes and raising taxes. At some point no one is left that can pay those taxes.
